haha, ya Machida took Rashad's mistake and knocked him clean out. i LOVE shogun but i hope he somewhat stays less aggressive b/c machida will catch him again i think.

i'm not a huge fan of machida nor a casual fan but you can't deny his defensive skills.

Yeah Machida is a tough guy to fight because he really can exploit tiny mistakes. The people that might have the best chance against him standing will be the people with really fundamentally sound striking skills - not necessarily the fastest and strongest guys, just the tightest technically. Greco, for example, gave Machida a tougher fight than almost anyone else, BJ too.

A lot of the guys who bang at LHW fight very wild including Shogun. Only guy left who can strike real crisp that hasn't fought Machida is Vera.

that would be a very interesting matchup, however it has snore fest written all over it

while i agree it might not necessarily be the most ridiculous match up, I can definitely appreciate how technical the striking would be. I'm a huge fan of Vera's muay thai style.
