Is anyone here going through the ISSA personal Trainer Stuff?

I was just wondering if anyone is a ISSA personal trainer or is currently going through their study courses of becoming one. I am curious about it and am actually thinking about going through the course myself. Just a few questions though.
Is there enough work for you?
Do u make enough?
And do u get your moneys worth through the courses?
thanks

I'm certified through the ISSA and actually just renewed. It is a good certification, used to be one of the top one's...not so much anymore. Profits depend on where you are going to work. Decide that first as some clubs only accept those with certain certifications or their own. As far as working for the clubs...expect to be a salesman, period....and make a small percentage of what they charge (think $75 PT session, you make $18). Many gyms also require you to train a certain way, so if you're new to being a PT this helps. If you choose to go on your own, start off without the cert (I didn't say that). As long as you look the part you shouldn't have a problem. Once you build up a good client base, spend the $600 get the cert and then you can pay a gym monthly (usually btwn $300-500/month) but you can charge what you like, wear what you like and train how you like.
