24 and I still get it. Accutane helped a lot after being done the cycle but aging, not touching my skin, and lots of water help keep me clear these days

I kept asking my doctor for accutane but she was so damn persistent to me about not taking it.
What worked best for me was a prescription facewash my doctor prescribed me. Then I got older and it's not an issue anymore lol
I tried using Proactive though and that **** was weird. When you use it completely eliminates EVERYTHING on your face but as soon as you stop using it your acne comes back 2x worse. So if you stop using it it comes back worse.
Thought I should mention that

Accutane finally did the trick after years of no success trying EVERYTHING else at that time.

That's the problem sir.
It takes almost 2 months to even start working.. (everything gets worse for this initial period)
I'm on my 6th (and last) month now..
I think most people are on it for 5-7 months.

accutane cleared it up precisely after 3 months. 2.999 months acne...at 3, all gone. i had the cystic shiet too. the kind that feel like little rocks deep inside the skin. itchy as hell.
after time and reflection, i realized its just all about hormones and genes. look at homeless folks for example. i know some rarely wash, yet have some clear ass skin.

time didn't do jack sh|t for me but make things worse...
starting 5th month of accutane right now... no side effects like people make it out to be except my lower back is more prone to injury, and chapped lips which cannot be avoided.
other then that, it's legit.
doxycycline didn't do jack
proactive only made things worse...
anyways, if you have light acne, just make sure to wash face before going to bed, don't sleep on a dirty pillow, and wash it after you work out. I also started to shower as soon as i get home from working out and that helped my back...
accutane IS serious sh|t so if you just got a couple... you don't have it bad at all... once it starts getting to your back, your lower back, shoulders, chest, and gets nodular/cystic... than you get the accutane which WILL clear yo sh|t up.

I had it from 13-20. I started using clean and clear black head clearing scrub 2x a day and using 10% benzoyl peroxide directly after washing with clean and clear 2x a day. Seems to work well.

1. Drink A LOT of water every HOUR
2. Wash your face 3 times a day:
- Mildly warm water (not hot/cold)
- Use special soap and massage your face for at least 30 seconds
- Wash your face with soap twice
3. Don't eat anything sweet, sugary, or fat.
4. Sleep 7-8 hours/day
All of it greatly improved my skin

washed face with dove sensitive bar, applied neutrogena on the spot to my whole face(make sure your face is wet so it thins out a bit), let it dry, apply light moisturizer, do this once in the morning once at night

Oxytetracycline 4x a day
If I take it I have skin like a baby.
If I don't, I look like I'm on meth.
I keep forgetting to get new prescriptions so the majority of the time I look like the latter.

i had it worse than anyone else in high school, my face was all scabs and that **** oozed a ton of pus and blood always. I slept on a towel for years because the cysts on my back and chest would break open and bleed. Pretty terrible, still have a lot of scaring but it's going away. Mostly just time that made it go away, also minocycline, benzoyl peroxide, cleanser, tazorac.

have had it for 5 years now, nothing works over the counter, prescription doesnt matter. Not gonna take accutane because of the side effects. Creams and **** just damge the skin with chemicals that arent supposed to be there. dont use nothing anymore except goats milk soap and it goes away day by day unless i go out and party, than i get a breakout.
