Negative ghost rider. I started strapless and can do my one rep strapless but if i want to do a 10 set I need straps.

i have the biggest forearms out of anyone i know, including people who are twice as strong as me. no straps ftw. most of them dont use straps either but they don't train in the volume i do

I have never used them. Don't know why. Probably cuz i don't have a pair.
But i see all these tools who use them for EVERY goddamn exercise.

I used to lift at Santa Fe, Southwest, and (occasionally) at GHFC. I got around.

i use straps but only for deadlifting and dumbbell shrugs
my forearms get worked plenty when i do pullups and bentover rows and ****

would use if i had some my grip only goes on deadlifts.not on stuff like pulldowns and rows they are easy except they tear up your hands

My reasoning is simple. I lift heavy for real world strength. Outside of the weightroom I 'm not going to have straps on when lifting heavy objects. Just a personal preference I guess.

I deadlift & shug w/ straps on the heavier weights.
When I do either exercise (or any exercise for that matter) I want to focus only on the intended muscle.

deadlifts are a great overall body exercise, but when you use straps, the only thing you workout is your pussy.
theres not as much real life carry over to lifting with straps, b/c ur not gonna have time to throw straps on when ur in a car accident and ur friend is stuck under a burning vehicle and zombies are chasing u....
