I would say Nuts (roasted or raw, without the sugar) and Jerkey. They maybe high in additives and fat content but they could be useful for your situation.

Protein bars and RTD Protein Shakes are good. You could also buy a protein shaker, some protein powder and mix with cold water; cheaper than ready-made protein snacks.
As for filling protein foods, some pepperami (snack salami) would be good; chicken breast packs (like the chunks you can put in sandwiches) or various nuts (a handful or 2).

Stay away from the bars unless your in a pinch. Go with a large bag of Almonds, Walnuts and peacans with dried cranberrries.( Sam's wholesale has really good prices on this stuff) Sprinkle in some of cinnamon and us that as your snack during the day. David

I am in construction so all i eat all day goes in the lunchbox. What I did was get a lined bag put in an ice pack and i make an organic greens salad with 9oz of chicken breast cut up in it with fat free italian dressing in a small cup then mix it together for lunch takes me all of 15 min in the morning and 5 min at lunch time to mix and eat. I also found really good containers with an ice pack that stores inside the bowl to keep the greens fresh. I am 6-6 280 so i need a lot of protien 9oz might be a lot for you so adjust accordingly. I also take a protien shake around 10 am and i am pretty much full till 330 when i get home and eat my 5th meal. It's summer here in CT so 95 and humid is the norm and my food stays great in the mini cooler. Hope it helps

They sell tuna in a pouch. You could take one of those along and open it when your ready. Put it on some whole wheat crackers or something. The packages are sealed so they dont need to be refrigerated.

I love dry roasted edamame from seapoint farms, it's like a meal. 1 serving~ 4g fat, 10g carbs, 8 fiber, 14g protein!!!! Amazing right, and they taste great Good luck!!

I like keeping some cans of Tuna and Salmon with the easy to remove top in my car just in case I need extra protein.
I also have:
almonds, gluten free low cal bars, whey protein.

I'm a huge fan of these: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/an...oteinbars.html
Take a look at the nutritional info. You can't really go wrong with 32 grams of protein, 6 grams of fiber, low sugars and only 250 cals. Basically the perfect snack when you're in a pinch.
