Is she getting WBR (whole brain radiation), or gamma/cyber knife? I can give you this advice; check out the clinical trials that are available...not just at her hospital, but all of them at clinicaltrials.gov. There are a lot of interesting trials out there (cryo-ablation, etc). At the very least, it will make you an informed caregiver for when you meet with the oncologist. Tip: Use the internet to get your questions, use the oncologist to get your answers!
Also, feel free to PM me if you need any kind of advice. I have been through this recently (sadly, with a bad outcome)...I know painfully well every feeling and fear you are having and subtle things to watch out for - and if I can be of any help at all, I'm a PM away.
Sending more prayers her way. Best wishes to you, as well.

As an atheist, I won't pray for her but I wish her all of best luck in fighting the tumor. Hope she will be all right.

Best wishes to OP and everyone else who's posted with complications and all of your families.
I also have a request but it isn't for me.
Fellow misc'er, Marine, and just a good guy, DonMegaR recently had a baby (girl, I believe...) and there were complications. She had to have a kidney removed I believe and there's still lingering issues apparently. Anyways, despite the username I'm not a religious guy, but on the off-chance any type of prayers helps, it's worth the try. So if you get the time, help him and his adorable newborn out.

Best of wishes brotha, will keep her in my prayers. Also, we just found out my mom has pancreatic and lung cancer a few weeks back (on top of an already failing liver), still getting over the shock, if you guys wont mind whispering a few words for her when you pray.

My prayers will be with you and your family.
Have you looked into anything to keep her immunity up while she goes thru chemo?
One of my side passions is learning about natural methods to get rid of cancer, or at least keep the immunity high during chemo. Its a little known fact that more cancer patients die of infections etc, than cancer itself.
I'll private message you if you want, with a list of different things you can research etc.
Just let me know!

As an Atheist, I hope your wife beats the hell out of this tumor. It sounds like she's in the right hands so I'm sure she's going to pull through.

OP:
I understand your point of view but to be fair I don't believe it belongs in this section. There is a specific section for this.

Serious question... do you think anything of the healthcare debate in times like this? As the doctor said there was nothing they could do for her but if something experimental came along a lot of insurances don't cover "experimental" treatments.

I do think about things, but I do not want to debate them in this thread. Also the doctor did not say there was nothing they could do for her, only that they could not cure it. They may be able to control the tumor and keep it from getting to large.

Ah I guess I asked that wrong but didn't mean to start a debate. Can you tell us anything else about where its at or why they can't do anything? I know only one person every that had a brain tumor. A friend of a friend really. They were able to remove it but I think he randomly had seizures after that.
All of this sucks and I can't imagine what you're going thru. Weak reps from me and I hope your wife gets some good news soon here. Keep us updated.

hers was not just one big ball or a solid mass if you will. There were "fingers" that came off the mass and went out through her brain. To get all of it would have cause them to have to cut out to much brain matter. The doctor did say he got almost all of it, the problem is that the 1% of tumor left can continue to grow rapidly if left unchecked.

said a quick prayer for you man.
i know a woman that was in a similar situation to your wife. she went to a health center in colorado where she went on primarily a juicing diet coupled with other natural solutions. she went from last resort to remission.
if interested i can track down that info for you.
