Best advice for cutting

Hey guys! ok first of all I am currently at about 283 at 6'2" and when I was last measured my bodyfat using calipers was at 24 percent so I have 215 lbs of muscle so I've been told. I really would like to get to about 12 percent or so by my 40th birthday in feb. My question to you guys is first of all since I have a ton of muscle how should I go about cutting and what should I eat? I went to GNC and the guy there told me I need to eat about 1 gram of protein for every lb of my ideal weight but since I have like 215 lbs of muscle I figure 240- 235 or so would be ideal for me. Not sure how I'll be able to shovel that much protein in me but I figure I'll start downing protein shakes along with my other healthy meals.

I am currently doing circuit training with a personal trainer twice a week entire body 3 sets per bodypart with abs in between and 35-50 mins of cardio 4-5 days a week. I'm a patient guy but I'd really like to look good by feb so any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

fyi (since feb I've lost about 68 lbs(did most with pure cardio first 5 months) so I'm a little more than halfway to where I'd like to be weightwise).

If your going to conrinue to drink protein use skim milk but stay away from friut juices which are high in sugar....Choose lean meat options in your diet.....the less animal fat the better....chicken and turkey leaner than beef and pork....Always drink a gallion of water a day.......continue to do cardio for at least 30 minutes every other day......Update us on your progress......Self

It's really quite simple. Cardio isn't even a necessity.
