I was driving today and saw a new fitness center it's called Sound Fitness. It's on Eldridge and Beechnut, if anyone is interested.

From what I hear that new Gold's is SICK. I've lived in Teague all my life...about 45 minutes east of Waco. That's where we have to go if we wanna shop lol...no malls any closer than that.
Soon to be in CS, though. I've already scouted out the Gold's there. GIG 'EM!

Anybody from Paris, TX? Not really looking for a partner, but just recommendations on a gym. I'm here for oilfield work long term, but I don't live here.

I was gonna check it out, but then I realized that even if I did check it out I wouldn't be able to go cus that would mean paying for a gym membership.

Any recommendations on a gym in the East Plano area? I just need something for the summer since my school gym will be closed a lot. LA Fitness has month-to-month contracts, but I've heard bad things...

Hey man, how is that gym? I workout at Fitness 19, right on Cypress Creek Road and I'm getting kind of sick of the lack of equipment. How much can I expect to pay monthly, and is it worth it?
Also I'm planning on going to Texas A&M next fall, is the gym for the students nice, or should I plan on getting a real gym membership? Any advice is appreciated!

Well, I go after work. I get there at about 4:40. By 5'ish it gets really packed. I mean I might have to hop on some other machine to get warmed up, but I always see a machine I can always use. I notice that there is a good bit of guys just BS'ing, but not really in the way. However, I like it! I get a great work out every time!
As for enrollment, not sure. I have a corporate pass. I pay only $20 a month, bi-weekly @ $10.00. Hope this helps.
Take care

The REC is pretty good but can get wicked croweded and from what I understand, parking is a beatch now. If you are going to live on campus, it will do just fine for you.....oh how I miss the coeds on the stairmasters...
