Whats the weight difference between that first and second picture? Was it after a cut, bulk, or some of each? Great gains btw!
Im definately closer in resemblance to the bf% in your first pic and have been banging my head trying to figure out if I should keep cutting or just bulk for a few months and start a cut fresh after that (currently down 40lbs). Not sure if at this point if I would feel better continuing to cut, or if it would be more benificial to "fill out" some with a bulk.
Appreciate any insight.

I don't have the exact weight of the first pic, but it's roughly around 190-195lbs, so the difference is about 15-20lbs. To be honest, I definitely prefer to lean down and slowly start upping calories and slowly watch the weight go up.. helps keep you as lean as possible. It's all personal preference really, but it will definitely help your motivation if you lean down first and then get to it! A few months of bulking just doesn't seem enough to make it worth waiting. Cut down, and slowly bulk for a longer period of time before you need to cut again, if at all! Hope this helps..

did you have to totally clean deficit your way to fat loss, or could you down some pizza or cheeseburgers, beer whatever and simply count it into your macros and still get desired results? thanx

Actually, every Sunday morning my buddy and I would grub some french toast, sausage, bacon, eggs, etc. I pretty much didn't even count calories that day at all, in fact I considered it somewhat of a re-feed day. Everything in moderation.. won't kill ya

While cutting, I keep my rep range around 4-8 it seems. While I'm bulking, which is all new to me by the way.. I've pretty much been in a deficit most of the time, but I switched it up to the 8-12 range and currently testing that out. I typically push myself til failure, easing off it a bit for the first few sets of one exercise, and then my last set I'll push to failure.
