yeah, i have always heard the same.. but i think after a hard lift-session i'm more times than not gonna say *@#$ cardio and leave, lol

Maybe I'll switch for a while and see...still have too much bodyfat to burn to only cadrio on off days...
Cardio before bed would wind me up! Dunno how you do that.

If you are going to do them, do it after--20 to 30 minutes no more. I would move more towards 25. The post resistance training cardio is supposed to help with nutrient partitioning as per people like Layne but I don't know. But I was also thinking that it would assist in fat burning in general...
Also, I have heard people talk about the post workout shake to do it during the cardio or after the lifting or after the cardio (after lifting the weights). The objective of the shake is to reduce catabolism (decrease cortisol) via an insulin spike but the cardio would definitely decrease the insulin response so the amount of cortisol blunting would change.
If you are super worried about it, you can always not do it on the days that you lift.

LOL...I hear ya. This is precisely why I rarely do cardio. I'm too exhausted after lifting and on my non lifting days I'm just not motivated to do it.

Ditto. I'd be up watching TV until 3am if I did that before bed.
I just take the dogs out for a jog around the neighborhood, get winded, and come back home for a smoke to catch my breath

The lake down the street from my house. That the is sole reason we live in Land O Lakes.
My boat never goes in salt water, which is why I have a 1983 engine that is still in excellent condition.

There is nothing in my area like that. They are greedy and want upwards of $60 per month plus a contract that allows them to just take the money exactly when the time is up even if I tell them not to. What's more, (goddamnit people read my previous posts before asking the same questions over and over) I can get another month of membership at my gym for $50. But as I said two or three times already, if I spend that money, I won't have enough to enter the show. What if I spend it and then I'm ready and cannot enter? I can do most of my routine at home. The only things that stump me completely are the cardio and abs.
You raise an interesting point. Nobody in my family sees this as a worthwhile investment. They have a poor lifestyle - bad diet, no exercise, don't waste your energy on it, etc. - and will not support it. Funny how they support me being a homo but not a bodybuilder. I've tried to get their support - even emotional support - for years and it's not happening.
This damn torrent thing will not download. I gave it time; it has barely moved on a fast connection. The estimated time for completion: the infinity symbol. So I has a mad about many things right now.

I hate cardio as well but it's a necessary evil and on the plus side it increases your stamina on other activities and burns off those unwanted calories. I have a love hate relationship with calories..

What's up guys? Finally made it back home. I'm about 85% and expect to be 100% by tomorrow, sunday at the latest.
I've got all the pics on my computer and ready to upload but I will probably wait b/c the weekends are dead around here. I've also got a few vids of the parades, protestes, and concert. They're on my iphone so I'll have to figure out how to transfer them.

I'm a failure at it too. I brought my camera and left it in the room. I used my iphone but most of them suck lol. Luckily, one of the guys I was hanging out w/ did a great job and had about 70 or so pics.
I'm hooked for life and will return next year. lol there's already talk of going for Halloween next month.

yeah my friend was like lets go to the club or bar and thought it was just us too then we got in the truck and the guy who lived next to him who was gay like runs up and jumps in the truck and we end up at the gay bar...

Here's my take on this...
The Eagles is located in a rapidly gentrifying neighborhood. Hell, one could say all of downtown and midtown Atlanta is rapidly gentrifying. The socioeconomic and racial profile of intown residents is changing. So much so that it's even made its way with great controversy into the mayor's race. Anyway, I believe the raid is a result of pressure from the neighborhood to close the place. The same thing happened to the Phoenix just a few blocks down the road from The Eagle. The Phoenix was officially closed for "illicit sex acts" which is also mentioned in the article above about The Eagle. The neighborhood around the Phoenix had been trying for years to close the place down because of the so-called "riff raff" that the bar attracted. It was quite appalling actually. The Eagle has about 12-18 parking spaces at the bar. The other hundreds of patrons have to park in the neighborhood. It used to be that the people living in this part of town were liberal, beatnik type of people who had no problem with a fetish bar in their neighborhood. The people moving in are often more conservative, less tolerant people who worry that their property values are being affected...or who don't like the noise caused by large crowds.
