How do you juggle life and training?
I am training for my first bodybuilding competition and finding that with it being 8 weeks out and I have a lot of work to still do I am spending a lot more time at the gym. I work a full time job and also have a part time job as well as a new husband that is missing me at home on top of all the house work, yard work, and errands to run there just does not seem to be enough time in the day and I was wounding how you all get by everyday with out losing it?
Thanks everyone.

I, too, am about 8 weeks out, have a full time job, hubby, house, and have 2 kids on top of it. Some days it is all exhausting. When I find I am feeling the pressure, I ask myself how much I want the competition. I'm still going at it, so I must want to do it pretty bad.
As for not spending time with the hubby, can't he go to the gym with you? Or do cardio with you? You'd be killing 2 birds with one stone.

You lot seems like you have loads to juggle and are still going strong well done!!
I have a full time job, boyfriend at home to see and I train 3 days a week. I live an hour away from where I work so don't get home till 7pm and have to be up for work at 6am.
I find that little routine hard to juggle but I do take my hat off to you epecially throwing kids into the mix, I just dont think I could do it!

Whenever you start feeling like you can't take it anymore or think that there is no point to this, just remind yourself how amazing you will feel and how proud of yourself you would be after competition and maybe promise yourself some reward (weekend break, spa day, shopping trip) that you can look forward to.
I have a full time corporate job, organize charity events after work, train 6 days a week and took up boxing/kickboxing pt course on top of it all. So I had no days or evenings off whatsover for few months, so I know how you feel. I was just keep reminding myself that at the end of the day it will all be worth the efforts.

I know how you feel. I work a full time job and at one point had been doing a lot of overtime. I also work about an hour away from where I live (it isn't actually that far away but the traffic is TERRIBLE). I had odd hours at one point so getting to the gym was very hard for me.
I also have 3 dogs and a boyfriend at home (boyfriend works and goes to the gym too) plus i do a LOT of cooking so my days are pretty busy. I usually find that i have to plan my weeks in advance so i know who is doing what when.
Oh and i am usually in bed by 9:30 and up by 6:00 at the latest most days so i hardly have time to just sit and do nothing.
One thing that we did do was invest in a squating rack and some weights so that way both of us can train at home most days out of the week. That makes everything a LOT easier.

I would spend about three hours putting meals for the week ahead in containers. It was a pain in the ass but made it easier to grab meals and go. It seems like all of us suffer in one way or another to compete. My last prep was spent running from school to work, studying, and working out. How come you spend three hours at the gym currently?
Stay positive and motivated about your goals even though your exhausted.
