Yes, but most of them use some sort of variation of Starr or Madcow, so go with one of those and tweak it to your liking, which is what most college programs do. Then their afternoon workouts incorporate plyometrics and speed drills, so be prepared to put some time in.

I have a copy of the USC strength & conditioning manual that they hand out to the freshman coming from high school. It's like 100 pages long and insanely detail oriented with weight programs and conditioning drills.

Usuallly the highend schools have their program kept pretty tight to them selves. Especially SEC schools, and USC.It is what makes their players stand out.I have infact been trying to get Ohio states linebacker workout for the past 2 years. stilll no luck.

they don't base them off bill starr. Most have a lot of Olympic Lifts and core work ad plyos. check out Stackmag.com for some college workouts. they have the USC trojans and Miami canes workouts on there.

No offense to the guys that want these workouts, but they aren't any different than what you would normally see, from a lot of other S&C's. Also some of these workouts aren't meant for the HS guys, or the guys coming in. 90% of the time the fresh have their own workouts set up. I mean I remember the first time I saw the Florida Gators speed workout, the workout that drilled OSU in the ass in the NC.... It was basic, and almost common knowledge. Just dont't put too much emphasis on these workouts being the best around. I would say that it would be better to try something that better fits your own personal needs.

Only college workout iw ould follow is the Arizona State(Joe Kenn) and Iowa workout(can't remember S&C coach name)
joe Kenn uses the Tier system. It is afull body workout that combiens DE, ME, and RE into every workout. Workout a difference body part for each effort each workout.

Pitts' coaches Buddy Morris & James Smith are the best bar none, end of story.

Very true
we had a xfer from usc. he started there as a freshman. he said the coaches didnt even coach technique and didnt care if anyone got hurt cause if they lost a starter there were 3 all americans waiting to replace them.
find a program that gets mid-low level talent and continually produces people who get drafted.
Thats the sign of a good program

Programs
I dont know where alot of this info comes from but alot is wrong. Football workouts differ from team to team and the strength and conditioning coaches. The comment about USC not caring if people get hurt is total bull****. I have every program in Florida and many others. the difference is how methodical they are. The percentages of weight lifted are high in the off season and low in season. The goal is force production and strength. the faster your can push yourself away from the earth the faster you are. "in laymans terms" They are not for looking good. They are all mostly multi joint movements, little or no single joint.
Alot of coaches also use TUT, Time under tension because of the time restrictions. There is alot of injury prevention that goes on also. I might have some files i can send people who are interested.
