Help me with my car trouble. (reps 14k+)
The hose with a leak in it is connected to the radiator hose. What is this hose called and how do I replace it?

Take off that section of hose by unclamping the hose clamp holding it on with a pair of pliers. then go to autozone and get some flexible radiator hose like this
cut to length and clamp it back the way it was.

what kind of car you got?
There are two hoses coming out of your radiator. The one up top and the one down below. One goes to your water pump, one completes the cycle from the water jacket and returns the coolant to the radiator.

Don't think thats it. I can't figure out what this hose is?
Its about 2 inches long with a slight curve in it. Guy at autozone said something about it being the bypass hose?

What kind of car is it?
Strong idiots in this thread. It's not a radiator hose. There's about 8 coolant hoses in any engine. I'd need a bigger picture to see where it goes. If it's a molded hose, you need to get one from the dealer. They aren't that expensive.

Can you take a better picture where we can see more of your engine and the location of your hose on the motor?
It's hard to even tell you what's what looking at a blow up shot.
From the size of that hose and seeing how small it is, it looks like the Throttlebody coolant hose.

If he said it's a bypass hose then it's a prebent rubber hose you should be able to buy from them. You have and upper/lower hose which are just bigger/longer, then you may have smaller ones for bypassing the heater core. Drain the radiator, depending on the vehicle you may have a small "plug" on the bottom which you can just unscrew and it will drain, if not unclamp the lower radiator hose which the engine is cold, making sure there's a drain bucket/something to collect the coolant underneath so there's no mess. With the system drained, unclamp the leaking hose and bring it with you to autozone/pepboys where ever you have near and and they can match it up.

I drove my car to autozone and showed a guy the hose, he said something about bypass hose and looked it up in the computer. He said no stores have it in stock and is has to be ordered. I'm not even sure if he looked up the right hose, so I don't want to waste my time. I want a definite answer as to what hose it is before I go out pre-paying for wrong hoses.

Definately a Bypass hose. Go to www.rockauto.com. Click on catalog and browse down to your car/motor.
Under cooling system, you will see bypass hose. The Dayco (first) one should be the one you want. You can click on the picture to the right hand side to confirm.
Dayco 71681
Take that part number to any auto parts store and have them cross reference it.
That is assuming that it is about the diameter of a garden hose.
