What to do next?

Hey all, hoping someone can give me some advice? I have a three day workout program given to me by a PT at my gym. One day I do back and chest, another day legs and another day arms and shoulders. Normally can only get to the gym 3 times a week, however this week I'm able to throw in an extra session. Went Tuesday night, did back and chest, wed night did legs and then Thursday night did arms and shoulders. I want to go again on Saturday morning, but not sure whether I should give my arms/back/chest a rest and just go onto legs again or whether I should go straight back into the cycle again and do back and chest again.

What do people think? Any advice I greatly appreciate.

Cheers,

S.

well i have a bit of knowledge- im a PT and studying exercise science so i know a little about exercise...can you PM what he prescribed for you? id be interested in seeing it.

In short from a physiological view, you will get results from only exercising 3 times a week. There are heaps of different studies out there which all merit excellent results, but realise that bodybuilding is hugely a personal thing. The basics of your program is muscular overload, adequate rest and excellent nutrition. But anyway, answering your question, if you feel rested and ready for a workout, go for it, your body can take it. if your muscles are still sore then rest, because they need to repair and your nervous system needs to repair (yes it gets 'damaged' during exercise)
