McNabb and Vick, whats going on ?
http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/video...17N8UCBX35SKK6
Is this something the media is blowing up or is there really a story behind this ?
To me it seems like McNabb is hating on Vick big time

Nothing is going on. pft is pretty much behind this days old non-story. #5 never got into a rhythm getting subbed in and out constantly, and other members of the offense (jackson/oline) agreed. Everyone should step back and realize that Vick is pretty much a gimmick in this offense, who will never see major minutes unless #5/Kolb are down for the count, and he knows that. I doubt he makes much of an impact this season after watching the jags game, Reid will just show him off enough to get some draft picks in the off-season.

The second McNabb starts throwing picks, or making bad decisions, or gets hurt the Philly fans will be calling for his head and Vick will be starting.
Remember McNabb being benched last year?????

it's a pretty ****ed up situation. How could McNabb help bring in Vick and then whine when he gets snaps? Did he think he was coming back as a pure wild cat guy?

I am a Dallas fan, so I hate the Eagles with a passion (especially after 44-6), but I feel really bad for Donovan McNabb. He had 60% comp, 3,916 yard, 23 TDs, and 11 INTs LAST YEAR. He's led the Eagles to 4 NFC Conference Championship games and 1 Super Bowl. And yet it seems like every year he's in the hot seat. I know he got hurt in '05 and '06, but it seems to me that he's never gotten the backing from fans that a franchise QB of his caliber deserves. And now it's going to be even worse, because every time he throws a pick (and all QBs throw picks), fans are going to be clamoring for Vick who hasn't even played football in two years, and has never thrown for 3,000 yards in a season (and failed to throw for 2,500 in each of his last three full seasons.)

McNabb > Vick.
Although tonight we will get to see alot of Vick and this will give a glimpse as to what potential Vick still has. with that said, as a pure QB McNabb > Vick.
Vick wasnt good at downfield reads, as a matter of fact he had many technical issues when it comes to technical skill. When McNabb is one he can really sling the rock, and I think this year will be no different
and he does have a point. he cant be subbed in and out and expected to gain and maintain rhythmn. Reid better play this right, or eagles will crumble this season

McNabb isn't the most durable and at one point Vick will start or take over at QB. Then the **** storm in Philly will begin.

Thanks to the efforts of sportsradiointerviews.com, we have the audio of Eagles coach Andy Reid's interview on WIP 610 in Philly on Monday. Reid doesn't think Michael Vick will have a problem accepting his role as a Wildcat specialist and backup quarterback. Asked whether Vick could cause a rift if he's not playing enough, here's what Reid said:
"I don?t think either way; as long as your putting points on the board, it doesn?t matter. I don?t think the number of plays will be that great, it will be situational depending on what team we?re playing and Michael understands that. Michael is just happy to be back in the league right now and just kinda building a foundation here for down the road in his career. He?s not looking to dethrone Donovan McNabb, that?s not what he?s looking to do.?
And that's where I think the Eagles are being very naive. To think that Vick's not trying to dethrone McNabb is ludicrous to me. If you talk to former Falcons head coach Dan Reeves, he'll tell you that Vick's one of the most competitive players he's ever been around. He puts him right up with Roger Staubach in terms of his competitive fire. So we think Vick's going to show up in Philly with his hat in hand, just relishing the opportunity to be in an NFL uniform?
I don't believe it for a second. Things will get bumpy at about midseason.

As a Dallas fan, I just had T.O. flashbacks. This is even more amazing coming from Andy Reid of all people.

if a white QB went over and pretended to talk on the opposing teams phone, we would STILL be hearing about it to this day...jesse jackson and al sharpton would get involved and it'd be spun around into the white qb is a racist and blah blah blah. Face it, McNabb sucks. He was good at one time, but he's a clown, a slob, and he's overrated.

I do, that's why I'm not 380 lbs. anymore, lol.
Also, how does my being obese make McNabb a worse player? That's like how my friend argues that Chris Paul sucks because I only watch Sportscenter.

And his three main arguments are that 1) Williams has better intangibles, 2) Stats don't matter [when I point out that Chris Paul is better in every statistical category), and 3) my opinion doesn't matter because he watches games and I watch Sportscenter [because I spend more time in the gym].

I may be wrong here, but I think that one thing that people remember is back when TO was with the eagles, and when he got hurt, he said he'd be back and that he'd still put on a show. He talked the smack, but he also stepped it up in that Super Bowl, and Mcnabb didn't. So, all the sudden, some of the trash talking he did about Mcnabb people began to believe.
