The RSX in general sux(normal or type-s). If you want to get a fast car there are many other affordable options.

I drive one. Not the fastest car in the world but very reliable Honda owns Acura. I got a real nice system in the hatch to make up for the lack of speed though.

Get a saab 9-2x.
They are basically rebadged WRX's, but with lower insurance, leather, HID's, heated seats. Also you get get em for around 12k with ~50k miles. And they wont be beat on like wrxs.
