Cook your egg whites. Egg whites contain avidin which prevents absorption of Biotin. Cooking destroys the avidin. You can eat yolks raw though

Unless your diet is lacking in biotin and the eggs make up a large percentage of your protein intake, then the issue is insignificant.
And since the eggs are basially raw still, the protein digestibility isn't as good as cooked and denatured is.

Yes...drinking packaged egg whites is safe because they pastuerize them for a longer shelf life. As far as the bioavailability of protein is concerned, cook em.

Drinking egg whites
sounds seriously unappetizing. It's like imagining drinking a carton of baby drool lol. No thanks

just stay in an extended stay type hotel with a small kitchen and cook them yourself.

I leave for the gym fairly early so I cook up a large kind of egg white/brocoli scramble (Ok a quiche) cut it into sections and then take a portion a day for my post meal. It travels in my ice chest well. I have eaten warmed up and cold with no probs.

Bad Gas
Does anyone else have the problem of really bad gas with egg whites? Especially the powdered egg whites...it's room clearing!! Is it something that goes away after your body gets used to them? I've always backed off of them after a day or two and never eaten them consistently because of this problem...

they are pasteurized. it is fine. I mix them raw into shakes sometimes as a way to add liquid without milk or water.
