Perky Boobs
I am still working with my natural boobs and would like to get into chest exercises that will keep them up and perky. I would like to have my boobs to a point where a bra is not mandatory. Anyone have any advice for that? I have not been heavy on the weights lately. When I was lifting more, I would do the flies and bench presses, etc.

As you may suspect, heavy weights is the answer to build up the upper and lower pecs. DB or BB Bench press, both incline and flat, cable flyes or crossovers, DB flyes and push ups are all beneficial.

^^This.
Genetics and age can play a role in the "perkiness" of your bewbs. But a good workout regimen can definitely help.

Judging by your pictures, too much chest will not make you look perky. Just jacked.

I know people will argue on here saying doing incline press's and upper chest movements will give you perky breast, THIS IS WRONG. This will build up your upper chest, and give the illusion of a perkier chest due to the seperation of the upper pecs, HOWEVER your breast are fat, as you know, and you can not tone or perk up fat. There actually has been studies done based on women walking on tredmills and breast bounce and perkiness...due to skin elasticity and fat type and content in the breast. At any rate they found that boobs that bounced the most on a treadmiill, were more perky over the comming years as this related to skin elasticity, NOT WORKING OUT....

This (reps)
AND
Have you noticed that almost all female body builders are either flat, or "artificially enhanced?"
With the addition of more exercise and muscle mass, you run this risk of burning up the fat that actually makes up your breasts, leaving you with pancakes. I have saw that happen to A LOT of HOT curvy girls in college. who developed body issues due to the pressure around them.

Some of us actually like having "pancakes" with just pectoral muscle present, me included
Yes breasts are predominantly fat but in the case of the OP, who is only small busted, building the muscle UNDER the breast will help raise/perk up the entire area.

But for the fact that muscle isn't perky.

Thanks everyone for the good information. I am looking to build good definition to avoid "flap jacks" in the future as I have not yet had children and would like my boobs to be well supported in the future.

Depending on your size and how serious you want to get..you might be doomed with flapjacks. My wife was a 34C when she began training, After dieting for her first show, all she had left was flap jacks, and a 34A of only saggy skin...she is a 34DDD now, I had her do some incline press's and really build thoose muscles up :X hehe

Has your wife had to change up her chest routine with implants? Has it affected her workouts any?

After my implants (under muscle) I avoided doing chest for a while and don't lift too heavy. It's a funny feeling when you can see your implant being squeezed by your muslce...and it looks funny.

she has not had to change her routine because she went with OVER the muscle. If you go under the muscle, YES change your routine and avoid working chest hard. For someone who is just the average person in the gym, I would say you can work chest if you have unders...but for women like you Kimm, and my wife...IF you had unders I would say do not work chest. This will cause lateral distortion in the implants due to increases muscle size and pressure on the implant, basicly it will increase the pocket size due to movement and then be distorted by the muscle. some have problems with permanant distortion, while others only have it while flexing their chest.
IF you are serious into bodybuilding and truly work your chest hard I would recomend going with a OVER the muscle implant, with a 30% overfill. I say 30% overfill because, once again thoose of you women who are serious will be very lean all the time, or at the very least a few times a year...The overfill will prevent rippling of the implant... I.e. think of a underfilled beachball and how the edges look.
Hope this helps some!!!!
On a side not, I will not say ALL women with unders who are competitive will have problems, but I can tell you, I have never met one that did Not. The overs have allowed her to still go heavy, without fear of distortion...can't wait till this winter, last night she put up 135x8 on barbell bench, and she hasn't even started her bulking diet yet. LOL

alright guys..... i have read all the comments... but i guess i just dont' get it. i am a 32D. i have had 3 children. i dont' want the huge chest muscles with the indention. i think that would look a little masculine on me. I think im just gonna get to my goal, then go pay 30grand to have a breast reduction and lift. i see no hope for my poor bags! HAHA! I usually am totally against cosmetic surgery, but in extreme cases where boobs are concerned... if i have a smokin hot bod (my goal) and you take a second look and horrible boobs that just aint jivin! haha
im gonna do the suggested exercises, and go from there. but ladies... i feel your pain!

What you said is true however with a 30% overfill you will forfeit your manufacturer warranty. Silicone gel is really the only way to go for lean women.

I would suggest you try decline bench. When I do decline bench on a regular basis is when I notice mine firmer.

i depends on what your surgeon chooses to share, some say it will void it, others say it wont. but the manufacturer will allow up to a 20%...after that they claim it will void it. I know my wife would rather have no ripplling in her breast, then rippling with a warranty. LOL

Most common misconception by women....you will not accidently build a giant bulky chest overnight. this takes years and years of work to achieve, espeicialy in women since your testosterone is so low
for the other poster, decline bench is one of the most worthless excersises in the gym...takes most of your chest out of the movement, and adds more shoulders and tri's. You will very very very very rarely see a national level or pro athlete with decline press's in their routine.

Ok, so im seriously thinking about getting implants myself.. I have 3 wonderful kids, and i am close to the shape i want to be in.. I really thought about getting them under the muscle, bc they look more natural, but not being able to work my chest would suck.. I really love working out, and heavy,, So now i will have to figure out what to do. I am going for a consulat in a couple weeks,, Then I will decide what to do.. But any advice would be great!! Im still kinda on the fence about getting them, but I know it would be awesome to have full breasts..

I am looking into implants too. I wear water bras from Victoria Secret and I look like I have a great chest if I'm wearing clothes. In a bathing suit...it's another matter. Although I may have hit a bodyfat sweet spot. At 17%...they are still there but they do not hang. I do a ridiculous amount of pushups though and I'm betting if I lost 2 or 3 pounds...they'd be gone. Argh.

This!^^
It makes me laugh when women think they're going to build this massive bulky chest (or any other body part) overnight. I'm still busting my a$$ to add more overall size and it's been over 20 yrs...
Ladies - it just doesn't work that way seriously...
Never touched a decline bench in my life...don't waste your time...

Since this thread caught my eye I figure I'll throw out a question...
How much do implants generally run? Or does anyone know how much for a breast lift? BOTH????
Lol... mine are big but not perky. I figure that as I lose BF they're just going to look a helluva lot worse. Already in dire need of a lift; hate to think of what they are going to look like down the line...

Full breast lift about $6,000. Mine is scheduled for 10/8/09. Can't wait!

Though you think that would help...... it really wouldnt. Actually, upper chest is what gives lift and fullness. Also..... when cutting fat, women tend to lose fat in their breast area first. So not only do you lose size, you lose your perky look. Plus all of this tends to soften the tissue, making the breast lay more flat. This is even worse if the skin that connects the breast to the chest is a smaller area.Bottom line...... if your breast arent very full and perky to begin with, they will never be naturally.
