NO Shotgun v3 Review

Just finished my first tub of Shotgun a couple days ago. Just some background I'm 19 and I started this cycle at 210 and I've dropped to 193 while actually gaining strength. This product has definitely helped me do this. I took shotgun around 20 min prior to working out and I took synthesize with my breakfast on rest days (which is practically shotgun without the stims) so I didn't build a tolerance to the stims.



Packaging - 8/10
Can't really be picky on packaging, it's somewhat skinny though which makes it hard to get the last few servings out.

Mixability - 9/10
Used a shaker bottle most days, but towards the end I was just using a fork and solo cup to mix. Never really had a problem, if it all doesn't mix right away let it settle for a couple minutes and stir it again and that normally takes care of the remaining floaters.

Taste - 7/10
I have never been picky when it comes to taste of a supplement. It's made to improve your strength and muscle recovery, not to please your taste buds. That said it was still pretty decent, it was easy to chug down although it's pretty sweet.

Pumps - 9/10
Great pumps and vascularity, I don't normally get too veiny but this definitely brought them out.

Energy/focus - 9/10
I found it to be most effective when I took it about an hour and a half after eating and about 20-25 minutes before working out. The energy rush is insane and I'm not sensitive to caffeine at all. The great thing is that you become extremely focused when it hits you so all the energy is focused to lifting that heavy weight. Great feeling which didn't seem to fade even though I was using it 4-5 times a week.


Overall its an awesome product, but I don't really have much experience with the other pre-workouts. Plan on trying Jack3d next cycle.

Interesting review i was thinking about trying this stack. How would you compare shotgun to superpump 250 if you have used it before.

Which flavor did you have?

I'm not a fan of the Cherry Flavor at all. It's passable, about 5-6/10 imo.

I'm not sensitive to caffein at all either... but I got nothing out of shotgun. No energy. No Focus. Nadda. I figure the BCAA's are still useful at least. It def has one of the best all-around profiles of any pre-workout as even if you don't get a boost from it you're stilling getting a lot of benefits you don't actively notice.

The only knock I ever read about NO Shotgun is the taste.

Haven't used superpump, although I have a couple free samples sitting on top of my fridge that I plan on using with my next couple workouts. I'll let you know thurs.

Exotic fruit. Like I said I'm not picky about flavor at all especially with pre-workout, I like my whey to taste decent for after my workouts though. I didn't notice much if I took it right after eating, were you taking it on an empty stomach?

superpump is awesome, but you get the extreme in the zone feeling that you get with shotgun. With shotgun its balls to the walls. Its pretty sick, its like a diff. you. haha


I just bought the triple thing of shotgun. Its pretty sick haha


I have taken superpump and no xplode and rpm gnc stuff as well.

shotgun is much better imo superpump didn't do much for me

Yah, I'm a pretty experienced pre-workout taker. Used a bunch of diff ones, some just samples, some full tubs.

I really don't like hitting the gym without some form of pre-workout in me... it keeps my energy level balanced or slightly elevated, without it I can be really low or fine.

The guy at my local vitamin shoppe told me to get try it out, said it's his fav. He was shocked it didn't do much for me as are most people. I still like the formula in it... just doesn't do as much for me as other pre's. I use it occasionally when not heading to the gym in 1/4 or 1/3 scoop doses to give me a little pick-me-up if i'm lethargic... works ok for that purpose... even if I'm stuck with the semi-crappy flavor in my mouth for a while because of it.

I dont like pre-w stuff with much caffeine, i have take NOZ and Nano Vapor, the first is really potent, the nano vapor makes me feel a strange heat inside, not like a fatburning, it was like more heat in the skin.
Maybe i will try shotgun, the only thing i dont like in these products is that contains too much arginine and if you take arginine more than 4 days your own body production stops..
