Congrats on the weight loss ...what I am been told here is high rep/low weight and cardio at the end of the session 30-45 mins HITT and that should get to the desired look. I applaud you I an entering the phase where I can say my weight starts with a "2" But letting myself go was incredible to let myself get to a high of lets say 348 plus and with the keto diet i have shed some weight and have another 100 to go...
How long did it take you to lose the weight and what kind of routine and caloric intake. I know others will ask that question...
But success to what you choose friend..

you burn more calories i was told. lifting heavy is more for a builking stage. im talking 25-100 reps burnout sets.
Took me about 2 years. To be honest the first year the only thing i did was cut fried foods out of my diet. Only over the last year did i start watching my diet and keeping it around 2500 calories a day with 150-200g of protein per day. Only problem i have now is alot of skin.

Was 286 pounds (130kg) in the spring of 2008..
First pic is in the fall of 2008 @ 275 (125 kg) and the second one is pretty recent, since the end of July 2009 @ 193,6 pounds (approx 88,3kg), best pic I have at the moment
I'm not done!

All I can great job..BTW How much weight were you in the first picture..I am been busting my tail for the last 2 months and cannot wait to see the 6 month update...keto and cardio/weights are my friend for the moment and for those that are new to the forum do not give up..When I started I read the many threads and seen the changes and I think that is a gift itself and should be proud to want to change. Good luck to all !!

I entering month 3 and feel like a new person granted I let myself get the biggest in my life and now will get myself to the best shape ive had in years.Comes down on how bad you want it and if it takes to sacrifice things that we like sweets/booze/smokes you can light that big cigar on your wedding day and want more...best of luck !!

That is what I hear about keto! Is that what you are doing? I am 3 days in and so far I am doing well. I could be doing better though!! I was such a little kid growing up, I am surprised that I got to be 198.5LBS. In high school I wrestled at 103Lbs for the first 3yrs, my senior year a heavy 119lbs, and when I met my girl I was 140lbs?what happened to me?? Lots of beer and soda?that?s what happened. So now I am going to look different by November.

I was 278 lbs, 44" waist when I started in February 2009. As of August 2009, I'm 219 lbs, 36" waist.
I eat 5x a day, about every 3 hours. I train cardio and abs in the AM, weights in the PM.

Hey guys!
First of all I'd like to congratulate everyone on their weight loss! You are all an inspiration.
I've been trying to lose weight for the past 2 months or so, I started at 220 but I'm now 190 lbs. I've stopped losing weight but funnily enough I'm still losing inches off my belly and my clothes continue to fit better.
Hopefully by november I can post my own pictures.
