The workout I did was 30 Mins of Swimming then 30 Mins of Walking/JOgging Mon-Fri.
The diet I did was 1200-1300 calories per day. And 1 gallon of water.

Oh and i do a different workout every week so my body doesnt build a memory to the same routine. I either jog or do some form of cardio for 20-30 minutes after every workout. This i found burnt the excess fat off me in a jiffy !
As far as diet, i keep it hi protein every meal, i should own stock in bumblebee tuna. lol. i only take in enuf carbs to give me that needed energy for my workouts, any wasted carbs i found turns to fat. Again this is what works for me and i beleive everybody responds to different routines and diets, it took me 3 years to figure out what works best for me but it was worth every drop of sweat, even tho there were many times i felt like givin up. Hope all this helps at least a little and good luck on your progressions !!! jpp

Hey man! I just wanted to say that you are now my inspiration!
I read your bodyspace and we're so similar in athletic history.
I'm just a couple of inches taller than you, used to play a grappling sport in college (I figure you wrestled at 145, I'm from an asian country so did Judo at a solid 160.)
Stopped, gained a ton of weight. Ballooned to 215 lbs.
Where you are now is where I want to get. I was just wondering how long it took you to get under 180?

Me about a year ago (190ish)
Giving credit to Lyle McDonald and ultimate diet 2.0 got my weight down to about 171.5 as of last Thursday (end of depletion for the week)

lol, has to be the lighting. I'm pretty dark complected but the last pic in my bathroom with bright lights and the first was in my room. I took the first pic a long time ago thinking I'd be able to cut and it never really worked out until I started carb cycling and fixing the timing of the types of workouts I've been on.
I was about 220lbs in 2006 and got to 190 just from lifting and doing in a couple years but stalled out. Wish I would have taken some before pics then.

Cool, just wondering, great progress, I always wonder why people don't at least put their height and weight in their profile.

thanks poona.
I'll post my diet/workout as well:
I'll try to be more detailed about the diet and workout that I used starting from January 1st
Diet was mainly the same for all the period:
about 6 meals/day
meal 1: grilled chicken breast+ some rice/potato
meal 2: grilled chicken breast+fruits (banana, kiwi, oranges, apples, pears etc)
meal 3: (post workout, I go to the gym at 13:00, I have a gym at work) grilled chicken breast+rice/potato
meal 4: grilled chicken breast
meal 5: mainly fruits
meal 6: grilled chicken breast, cheese + a lot of veggies
What I did NOT eat/drink at all anymore: sweets(chocolate, cakes), sodas (not even natural juice - the only natural juice is the one u make u'r self from fruits), any king of fried food, any kind of food cooked in oil, I reduced the salt from my food by 95% (I used to put a lot of salt in my food).
About the training:
January: Fullbody workout 5 times/week in order to get my body prepared for what's coming
February: HIIT (IST - interval sprinters training) 5 times/week
March: fullbody workout 5 times/week
April: fullbody workout 5 times/week
May: HIIT (IST - interval sprinters training) mon-wed-fri + fullbody workout tue&thur 1 week
then: fullbody workout mon-wed-fri + HIIT (IST - interval sprinters training) tue&thur
June: HIIT (IST - interval sprinters training) mon-wed-fri + fullbody workout tue&thur 1 week
then: fullbody workout mon-wed-fri + HIIT (IST - interval sprinters training) tue&thur
July: fullbody workout 5 times/week
Aug: fullbody workout 5 times/week
I have to admit it was hard as hell, but I got used to it at one point and started to enjoy it .. lol .. I know it sounds crazy.
here is also the link for the thread with more details: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=118461021
great job everybody .. and thanks for all the help/advices/critiques I found on this thread/forum so far!

I have taken before pictures like 2 times already...I officially started my transformation today. I keep on "starting" but never start. This time I am so motivated, looks like I am going to be getting married in Jan so I totally want to look different by then. Looking and reading through this thread has got my motivation so high. I hope to be able to post some pictures by the time I get however many post you need to be able to post pictures. I just want to thank everyone for all their hard work!! Keep it up everyone and I look forward to posting something by the middle of Sept. Again, keep up the work everyone.

Hey congratulations on taking the first step...its usually the first weeks that make or break you. Are you dieting ..I depends what your looking for , if you keto the weight will literally fall off as long as you want to remove body fat. Depending on your situation but as you can from the first post it can be done. I entering month 3 and feel like a new person granted I let myself get the biggest in my life and now will get myself to the best shape ive had in years.Comes down on how bad you want it and if it takes to sacrifice things that we like sweets/booze/smokes you can light that big cigar on your wedding day and want more...best of luck !!

20 years old. 360 to 200. Need some advice on cutting. Getting a little discouraged any advice will help. Switched from high weight low rep to low weight high rep about 5 days ago and need some good routines.
