It's great to hear about how things are going! How long have you been training for? Do you train out of your gym or do you have your own business? What about online training?
I just started watching the UFC fights and following along with some of the stuff. I love how intense and crazy the workouts are. And how dedicated the competitors are to their training!

Hey girl!!! Things are going great!! I love training clients at the gym. I would absolutely love to be able to train clients out of our own private studio. That is the ultimate goal.
I started watching UFC about a year ago when Layne and I went to UFC 77 in Cincinnati, OH. It was awesome! Those guys are crazy when it comes to working out, they are insane!!!

Monday's workout (8/10/09)
I started off with 20 mins of HIIT on the elliptical.
Then it was off to do occlusion on the leg press:
4 sets of 20/70 lbs with a minute rest in between
*That was probably the most painful set that I have done to date!! It was awesome!
Lying Leg curls
4 sets of 8/90 lbs
Seated Leg Curls
4 sets of 8/180 lbs
Inner/Outer Thighs
4 sets each of 12/130 lbs
Seated Calf Raise
4 sets of 15/100 lbs
Donkey Calf Raise
4 sets of 15/165 lbs
Then I called it a night, because I had a three hour training this morning for a class that I am going to be teaching for the park district. So I wanted to save some energy for that.
Tonight is upper body!!

Awe, you've got the sweetest puppy ever! I'm really wanting to get a doggie soon, I think an Italian greyhound, they've always been one of my favorites--of course all puppies are my favorites hahah!

Week's recap!
So this week has been crazy busy! I started training to teach two group fitness classes in the fall for the Champaign-Park District. I will be teaching Cardio Mix and Bigger, Faster, Stronger (after school program for teens who want to learn about strength training). So I am really excited but it's been really time consuming. That plus training my regular clients and I picked up two new clients as well. So my gym time has been suffering a bit. But I figure once I get into a routine it will all go back to normal. So right now I am trying to watch my diet and walking Seffi as much as I can when I don't get to lift weights.
Some highlights from this past week's workouts: Strength is increasing, lifts that we tasking or difficult for me are getting easier. I was able to press the 37.5 DBs for 5 reps on shoulder presses. That was huge for me! Normally 35lbs is where I stopped but this time I was able to press the 35 lbs for 8 reps. So I figured it was time to bump it up. I'm glad I did!! Overall I am feeling great! I am weighing 128 lbs. So I think I will do a two week cut coming up soon. I really want to stay within the 125-126 lb range. I feel really comfortable there.
I am off to go to KY to pick up Lulu today!!!
Have a great weekend!!

Ok so I have been really MIA lately!! Well first of all having a new pup is a hand full!! We had forgotten what it was like! LOL! She is adorable and doing really well. Her potty training is going really well. She is using her puppy pads and she has been letting us know when she wants to go outside.
Workouts have been sort of random this week. I have been training to teach group fitness classes starting next week for the local park district and it's been intense. I have attended classes from Pilates/Yoga (which I loved), boot camp and cardio mix. I was trying to meet the other instructors and also see how they teach their classes. I will be teaching Bigger, Faster, Stronger and Cardio Mix. So I am really excited and nervous at the same time.
Some highlights of my workouts this past week: I broke through on Shoulder DB presses and pushed 40 lbs for two sets of 5. Using the seated (plate loaded) row & using one arm at a time I managed to pull 135 lbs for 2 sets of 6 reps. That was awesome I had guys come up to me and tell me they had never seen a girl pull three 45 lbs plates on side.
So that was pretty sweet. For legs I have been doing a ton of plyos and compound movements. So they are pretty flipping sore today!! LOL!!!
So now here are some pictures of our Lulu!!
