Celestine's Training Log: My Journey to Long, Lean and Lovely
Hello Everyone!
As a proud new member of Team Scivation I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and post my stats, goals, and photos.
I received my program, the CHA Nutrition program and the Antagonistic Training program, last friday and I'm ready to begin!
Stats (all of which can be found on my bodyspace - but Ill update here as well):
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 170.5 (after my work out at noon.. OMG! I was 166 last friday morning)
Neck: 12.5
Shoulders:
Bicep (relaxed/flexed): 12"/12.5"
Chest: 37.25 (with my bra on)
Waist (natural / B.b): 30"/33"
Hips:42"
Thighs (L/R):22.75"/22.75"
Calves (L/R):15" / 14" (whoa. thats interesting!)
Today's workout:
Two Rounds of:
Barbell Curl:35lbs X 10
Bench Dips: Body Weight X 15
DB Curl: 20lbs x 6
Bench Dips: Body Weight x 15
Barbell Curl (cbl curl was occupied): 40lbs x 6
Bench Dips: Body Weight X 18
10 minutes of cardio on the elliptical - I'll have to finish this evening after work. I was running a little late today.
Food:
M1- 3 whole eggs + 3 egg whites / 1 peach / 2 cups of black coffee
M2- 1 scoop protein / 18 almonds
M3- (post workout) 5oz chicken / 2 handfuls of organic spinich / 3oz of yams / olive oil / .5 grapefruit
M4- (will be) 5oz chicken, spinich / pb
M5- 5oz chicken, avacado

Good Morning!
I am so sore today from yesterday's workout!
Anywho - what fun are journals wtih no photos?
Here is the last "progress" pictures I took of myself. Which reminds me..I need to really need to take new ones.
Please ignore the awful spray tan diaster - but hope it gives you an idea, until I can get new ones up, of what I'm workin' with
okay - so here is probably the best I've looked. (this was taken in oct of 07) - nothing great, just less weight I suppose.
This is the last photos I've taken - mar 09. I'm super de duper fat. Thank god I'm 5'10" ..

Today's workout (before the gym) - Hill sprint repeats on my favorite hill of all time!
Introducing "B Street" - to those of you who live in San Diego its a great workout. Plus, being outside is always a plus  okay, Ill be back

That sucked.
10 sprints/hill repeats complete.
On a lighter note, I tried something a little different today. My husband is an ultra-runner / endurance athlete who's been telling me about bare-footed running. Tons of benefits apparently and really my only apprehension is:
1. Stepping on something gross, sharp, etc..
2. Ruining my feet, ie. pedicure
3. calluses - I dont like my feet to be scratchy..
But you know, I said "eff" it and went for it. I did a couple of hill spints bare-footed and you know, it was kinda cool! It reminded me of being a little girl again; playing outside for hours on end with no worries in the world. The ground felt good underneath my feet.
Just wanted to share that
It's so beautiful outside today. I'm hoping to finish up a few lil sewing project or maybe I'll be inspired to do cool makeup today. we shall see!

B Street is no joke - especially if you try work hard on it!
Sometimes I want to quit before I begin. (ha)
I figure I only have to do it twice a week (I'm doing my HIIT there) so it's not so bad.

Okay - I've been glued to this desk for two days.
The work of the day: PREPARATION!
Today - this week really- has been a constent reminder of how I'm not! Starting a new program, especially with a totally new way of eating / exercising is challenging.
I've managed to stick to my food 100% - Actually, its kind of weird because I haven't wanted any sugar/carbs/garbage at all. I'm guessing its becuase I'm getting plenty of good fat to keep those cravings at bay.
I still haven't even sent Derek my updates!
My commitment: I'll take my pictures and email my stats to him right after cardio this evening.
I hope you all had a great day. Thanks for coming by - I like visitors!
