i'll be playing college football this fall, leave for camp in 1 week, we lift in the morning and run right after that all through the football season, i plan on lifting twice a day during football season just because football players lift for strength and power and explosiveness and i want to train for bodybuilding, i plan on intaking a lottttttttt of protein and calories

When I played frosh football I lifted after practice at night but never on game days. My goal was to mantain strength and I only did main excercices. Obviously this was only freshmen football and no where near as intense as JV or Varsity but it's still possible to lift during the season.

I am having this same Dilemma because bodybuilding is a lot more important to me than football.
I can only imagine my workouts are going to be half assed because football is really going to wear you down especially when you play both ways.

to be honest i feel the same way but, your more likey to get an injury if your lifting and practicing, football takes a huge toll on your body.

During football summer camp for my school freshmen year we lifted for about 45 mins and then went to play football for 3 hours. Sophomore year (Which I'm currently starting) we play football for 3 hours first then lift for 45 mins. Two a days start on Wed. so I dont know if we'll lift twice that day or just once.
I know during regular practice we will be lifting after practice.
Main thing would be to just eat, and get your protein and calories.
