Left Pec Much Bigger
For a while now my left pec has been bigger then my right and I was hoping someone could give me a few tips regarding correcting this. To give you some kind of idea of the size difference, the depth of my left pec is 1cm larger then my right. Also is this problem common?
Thanks
Kev

I have the same problem.
but a lot of people generally have one side bigger than the other same as 1 calf is bigger than the other and same as arms and thighs.
But if you are worried about it and want to bring them up to par then you can swap barbell movements like Bench Press with dumbbells or start using isolation movements like pec dec's, flyes, cable crossovers etc in to the mix.
Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply, Ill try and add more isolation movements into my work outs. Also I understand that using DB’s instead of BB’s should help however as I am not currently using a BB for chest instead using only DB’s do you think it would be worth using the BB more?
Thanks again,
Kev

As stated before do db movements to evenly distribute the weight or you can add extra reps/sets just for the left side until it catches up.

dont cut out barbells all together just keep mixing everything up and with time it will come up to par.
oh yeah make sure when your doing the exercises try and get a spotter or use a mirror to make sure your symmetry is right because you dont want to be using one side more than the other, it happens a lot and you dont realise it

Is your right side your dominant side? If so that could be the reason or at least a contributing factor. The non-dominant side of your body is less coordinated and therefore has to get bigger in order to compensate for that lack of coordination.
