I am the about the same stats as you 6'0 ft 226 lbs. probably 25% bodyfat. I want to cut, but then again i want to gain more muscle, so i will continue to bulk for another 2-3 months, and then start cutting.

Yes.
This girl that was kind of interested in me 2 years ago when I was 300 lbs suddenly became a lot more interested when I was at 175. She told me I was going to get her in trouble with her boyfriend if I didn't stop what I was doing. Figure Ill see her again in about a year so I WILL get her in trouble then.
My parents are shocked each time I go home and it got to the point where my mom started yelling at me to stop losing weight, saying it was unhealthy... ~17% bf. My grandma is calling home from Poland yelling at my parents for starving me... Its quite funny.

I broke up with this girl after H.S. and then didn't see her for like 6 years, then when I was in Korea I got down to a healthy weight and was looking good. All of a sudden she found me on myspace and started talking to me again like she wanted to go out. Then I moved to Japan and threw my work outs all off and I gained some of the weight back. She quit talking to me. I was sending her flowers and other things in the mail trying to find out what happened.
Now, I am changing my lifestyle for the better and when I get in shape (and stay in shape), I am going to ask her to go out and then stand her up and send her back all of the pics and stuff she sent me. After she sends me that "Your looking good! are you glad to be in Vegas? I still love you" message.
I know it's awful, but she dumped me first for a stupid reason. What comes around goes around. And she'll never hear from me again.
Edit for disclaimer: I workout cause it feels good and I need to be in shape for work. This story is just icing on the cake.

It's all cool when you are dating one of the friends ~ (he's also my inspiration for bodybuilding - he's sooooo consistent and determined. I want to make him proud~) Hope the effort pays off~

I did the same thing but I really didn't do it for her. I hadn't seen her in 6 months and she showed up one night to pick up something. When I opened the door I had on a tight UnderArmour shirt on and she just kind of stood there in shock for a few moments trying to decide if she was looking at the same person.

The more I think of it, the more it gets irritating. I sorta failed the first time. I'm trying again - weight loss revisited. Is anyone else in?

Yea... motivation is the thing...
The only difference between june and now is that I was able to shed on my Body Fat % from 45% to 36.5%. Although I haven't lost any weight!
I've made a regime on food and workout, did my cardio for the last few days. Today it;s going to be upgrade to weight training + cardio.
It feels good to do the right thing. To keep motivated, I've also purchased a shirt I've planned to fit into by New Years (it's in my pics, you can check it out).
It may not be a big deal, but I figure I should be able to drop a couple of shirt sizes...
What's your goal?

How'd you lose all that weight! It's impressive ! Yes, I figured that if you want to grow muscles, you've got to shed the fat first. Al though I spent quite a lot of months searching for an alternative, that's the right way to go I guess..
Thumbs Up for your effort. Oh, I know the "never got close" part due to fat issue...been there.

I have lost 122 lbs so far. I didn't plan on surprising anyone. But I find that as I run into old friends and co-workers they are shocked. A few of them didn't even recognize me until I introduced myself. lol

Glad you came to your senses in the end. Shes an ex for a good reason and now you are right, you can do better. As shallow as it sounds its probably the truth.

I'm doing it right now. I'm going to see my entire family in July at a wedding so I thought starting in October was a good time to start my transformation from tat to fit. I'm 4 weeks and 12lbs into it, I have about 60 more lbs to go...
I'm really looking forward to wow my family when I get off the plane and show up at the wedding. This is one of my primary motivators.
