Are My MacroNutrients Correct?

I've been trying out different diets for a while, trying to figure out the right one for me.

I'm not just about losing fat, but also about being healthier and being able to have a new diet that I can stick with for life (or for a really really long time lol).

Anyway, I'm starting with a 40/40/20 split and I'm 5'5, 148 pounds, sometimes more sometimes less.
I used freedieting.com to determine that my 500 calorie deficit daily calorie intake is 1876.

My macros are 187g pro, 187g carb and 41g fat.

Does my daily calorie intake and macros seem right to you?

Thanks.

Edit: Also last year I had my height measured and I was 5'5 but then a few weeks ago I was measured at the doctors office and was told I was 5'4, but then my doctor said that its hardly ever right. Which one would be a safer guess (for the calculations of calories and macros)?

Looks good.

When you hit a platuea, lower your carbs and increase your protein.

Talking looks great

I stick with 35% carb 45% prot and 20% fat but i also work out 1000 kcal burn a day 5 days a week and just over 200 pounds at 5'10. but 40-40-20 is great I just am trying to keep as much muscle as i can without eating to much protein. how is the eating style working out for you?

Thanks. This has been easy so far compared to what I did before. I was doing a ketogenic diet, so the little bit of carbs I can have (whole wheat bread, fruit, oatmeal) is like a treat! Haha.

35% carbs seems quite reasonable considering I'm coming off of keto. I'm eating all of my carb meals in my first 2 or 3 meals and then to nothing at night. (I woke up late today so uh, yeah.)

Honestly, (I don't remember if I said this in my first post), but I just want to make sure I have everything right, if I have all the calculations right its very easy for me to stick to a diet.
I've been trying to find the right diet since late June, and have jumped all over the place from just eating healthy and not counting, to counting low carb, to keto, and now here.

Did you mean you're trying to keep as much muscle without eating too much carbs?

Also what do you guys do for vacation? I'm going on vacation for the next six days. I'm going to try to at least eat well during the day, and then allow myself a mess up meal at night... but yeah.

You can stick to what your doing and run the 40/40/20 in a deficit and it should work. Or you can run 30c/50p/20f and then one day a week do 60c/20p/20f as a refeed. Keep the cals at a level where you're dropping 1-2lbs /week until you're happy.
