Great stuff!
Couple questions:
1. Duration of the transition?
2. What was your approach?
- big or small deficit w/ excercise?

Thanks for posting the pic, inspired.

Hey thanks! I pretty much ran as much as I could fit in my schedule; minimum of four times a week. If you can't do long distances run at a pace thats a jog for you for around an hour. I worked myself up to around 20 miles a week when I dropped the most.

Ah the majority of it happened within 5 intense months. As long as it's the first thing you wake up thinking about and the last thing you see before your eyes close then your going to make it.
I lifted around four - five times a week and ran around the same. Cardio is key in dropping fat. Lifting will make you drop fat aswell but it uses it to build muscle so the results are not as drastic and it will take longer to notice weight changes since muscle weighs more.

Last couple questions,
calorie consumption during those 5 months?
What are you going for now (bulk/cut)?

Ah you can ask all the questions you want, I'm willing to share the little bit I do know in order to help people who want to be helped.
I did not keep a log on my caloric intake at that point that's actually something I just started to do. If I had to guess I would say no more than 1800. I'm actually still wanting to lower my bf percentage. I lift around 5 times a week and I run so hopefully I will lower my bf percentage without dropping to much weight. If you need any help feel free to pm me.

Nice progress! Can you explain how cardio is the key in dropping fat (as compared to lifting weights to keep the LBM and decrease the calorie through calorie reduction rather than cardio) ?

Yeah, please explain this. Cardio + resistance training burns more calories than just cardio.

sirbobmontgomery
I just wanted to know that those images do inspire others and I just waiting for the training wheels to come off and see what the end result is. Did you deal with any stretch marks at all ? I just finished the first month of KETO and have lost 21.5 lbs so far im at 305...from the highest that was 348.8 last november and 324.7 that was at the end of July pre-KETO.
Once I get more posts I can post images instead of linking them...but thanks for sharing and for those that are on the fence...Just get off you ass and do it...Quit debating it...I got off my ass when I saw a picture of my friend weighing over 400 lbs and i said there is no way I am leading to that path...and with the completion be a beacon to help those that need that extra push !!
Kudos to all once again...your pictures are the wood to my flame to change

Eveyones body responds differently. I was lifting and doing cardio 5 times a week. If I tried to reduce my caloric intake more than around 1800 or so I didn't have the energy to do anything else. I was running approx. 20 miles a week most of which were done through running 10ks. I burned around 800 calories when I did this. I work 12 hour shifts, you gotta eat to keep moving and you gotta eat to have fuel to be lifting and running that much.
