Temperature Exposure with Whey Protein

Does anyone know how whey protein is effected by being exposed to temperatures in the area of 120 def F? My daily routine is such that I pack my gym bag with a container of whey protein powder for my after-workout shake. This bag sits in the trunk of my car for 8 hours in the blazing Texas sun each workout day. My concern is that I am reducing the life or damaging the product.
