Almond Butter/ Peanut Butter-- yum
I can seriously eat almond butter all day I'll have it on my ezekiel bread in the a.m.- I'll take a little scoop here and there through out the day if I'm craving-- might put some on celery.... then in my cottage cheese.... I'm over doing it- my calories are getting too high....I think I really need to toss it. I can't control myself What are your thoughts? Just stick to cooking with O.O. and maybe a handful of almonds ? almond/peanut butter isn't needed is it ?

ok, i'm totally with you on the almon butter. I just recently bought a container of it. Now i'm totally in love with it. I love it on my flaxseed bread in the morning. I eat a tablespoon of it before bed too.
I'd watch how much you'r eating of it..everything adds up!

Peanut butter is a great source of healthy fat, and it has some protein to boot. But like you, I have a hard time controlling myself with it, I could eat half a jar in a sitting if I wasn't careful! One trick I use is to buy my peanut butter in single-serving packets that have 2TB each. I buy one at a time only, so there's no potential to go crazy. It's a little more expensive per serving than getting the regular sized tub, but it keeps me from doubling the size of my ass so I consider it a worthwhile investment.

I can only control myself around it when I'm not dieting and can therefore eat a wide diversity of foods.
The moment I start contest dieting is the moment I can't put it down and it becomes an obsession.
If you are still hungry, eat something different.
If you really can't control yourself around it, then either cut it out of your diet or throw it in the freezer so you will have to work REALLY HARD to get some!
You could also try something called PB2. It comes in a powder, so it's hard to keep going back for more. You're more likely to make the conscious decision to stop.

I love almond butter. I was hooked like you are and ate it all day long lol. Eventually I grew a little tired of it being my only source of fats. I don't believe removing food I love, that just makes me crave it more. If you know you can have it anytime, it will start to become no big deal. I say have your almond butter!!

This is very true for me, too. Once I stop treating something like forbidden crack food, it's suddenly no longer special.

Interestingly enough, I've had to switch to almond butter because I couldn't control my intake of natural peanut butter. The switch has done me good, plus I find it much more easier to stick to my daily allotment of fats for the day.

Didn't think anyone else enjoys cashew butter as much as me. Love it.

I am so glad to know that I am not the only Almond Butter addict out there! I seriously have to keep it away from me for long periods of time. It's better than dessert for me!
