I kinda agree. Although Orton doesn't have the rep behind his name to do Ric Flairish things; this is the wrestling business, and Orton is supposedly one of WWE's big nine.
But Orton had to have done something a lot worse to get sent home. Think about this, he's in the mainevent at backlash, and he won't be on RAW next week.

Orton
1. Harassing women backstage.
2. Wellness Policy
3. Steroid Bust with 5 others
4. Hotel room
I don't think Orton should or will be fired, but if he is, I can't say I really blame WWE for doing it.

Reps. My mistake. It never was proven. That still leaves 3 offenses. I still wouldn't blame them. IMHO, he shouldn't be.

are u serious? i mean ive disagreed with u before but this is huge! orton is one of the futures of wrestling! only him and a few others are any good at wrestling anymore, and after hbk hhh undertaker retire etc, it will be up to the likes of orton to bring up the wwe to what it use to be back in the day..
Its getting rid of ppl like orton which is why the wwe is fqwailing atm, and keeping cena!

for all the Orton fans, who, despite his immature behaviour and lack of Hall of fame credentials, i ask you, how many transgression would you be willing to forgive? oh i can't remember who made the stupid analogy to a rock star's hotel room exploits, but i can't remember when a rockstar had to answer to an employer. nor do i remember a rockstar having his/her actions reflect badly on the same employer/company. do you see the distinction now? Orton is an employee of the WWE. i assume they have standards like any other company. i work in a bank. i can't go out on the street and make a complete ass out of myself. its regarded as "bringing the organization into disrepute". get it now? or are you guys not employed yet?

In the 80s, I guess trashing a hotel room was the norm, but now that the WWE is a publically traded company, it reflects poorly on the company. Sending him home for trashing a hotel room -- doubt it.
I compare the current Orton to the HBK of the past. Vince gave HBK one too many chances, and look at what happened. HBK went on to be one of the very best in the business. Had the WWE been a public company when HBK was going on his tirades and causing problems, would he have remained employed?
I'm not crazy about Orton, but he could very well be the future of this business, if he chooses to be. If he gets fired now, it's all on him. He's brought it on himself. We've obviously learned Vince sees something in him -- for if he didn't, Orton would be saying, "Welcome to Burger King, can I take your order?"
Rhino was fired for smashing a flower pot in a hotel. Could Orton be fired for trashing a hotel room? Well, duh. Whether he's a "rock star" or wealthy is no excuse for him to trash a room that someone making minimum wage should be forced to clean up.
If Orton gets fired, he'll go to TNA, team up with Rhino and call themselves The Hotel Destroyers.

big freaking deal? it's not like they were busted with the roids in their possession or in their systems. they merely found paperwork saying they got them from this place a few years ago. that's not grounds for any kind serious consequences. imho, IF he's released and that's mentioned at all then they're reaching for excuses.
I don't think rhyno's was so much about the trashing of the hotel room as it was the scene he apparently caused. he supposedly had a major fight with his wife/girlfriend/whatever in the middle of the hotel (I actually thought it was in the lobby and he smashed a plant or something like that).

Orton does have an upside to him. He's got a good look. He's as decent in the ring as most guys these days (really only a select few like your Benoit's are world class workers), and he gets a reaction.
What hurts him though is his primadonna attitude. Getting too much too soon probably wasn't the best in the long run. If something happens you can't just point to this one incident. That would be dumb. But rather a host of other attitude problems.

actually Orton getting fired WOULD be a big loss to the company, dont act like he isnt talented...but I still wonder when he will get his head on straight
if they fire him I wouldnt be shocked but I know I would be tuning in to TNA every week to watch him.

I wish this guy would wise up. He could very well be in line for a shot again at the World title but the way he acts there is no way he will be given the role of leading the company. The sooner he works this out the better. Randy needs to get his priorities right because he could have a bright future in WWE.

Presently Orton is a heel, so it's probably good publicity for his character. If this news actually hit mainstream news then marks would probably just process it as Orton being the arrogant d*ck that he is.
Some of the best wrestlers would live their character out of the ring which gave more credibility and heat to their in-ring persona. If no one got hurt or harrassed in this situation, then i'd just chalk it up to a harmless incident.

Orton
To me, it seems as if Orton does not have the passion to excel as a top star, at least not at this stage in his life, as it would seem that being a third generation wrestler would propel him to perfect all aspects of his ring work (watching some 80's NWA tapes will show that one can "rest" in a match or prolong the duration of an encounter without applying the same ineffective and bland reverse chin lock), and this is simply not the case with him. HHH, as an example, although criticized for his lack of desire in helping elevate others in the past, certainly showed in both his interviews and ring psychology that he wanted to excel, and there are aspects of Orton's character and in-ring efforts that lead me to believe he is not yet prepared mentally to strive for a main event position within the company. It's very easy when earning huge money at such a young age to become satisfied with the spot that has been granted you, and to live off the desire of others to see you succeed, as opposed to making a sincere effort to show improvement, especially if no outside force is providing any legitimate motivation for such change.
John Cena, despite all the criticism of his ring work (most of which is unwarranted, in my view), has shown that he is 100% committed to the company and product, while Orton's out of the ring exploits may merely be another sign that he is not yet ready to provide the dedication necessary for main event status within the company. I would suspect he currently is confident of his position, which greatly suppresses his desire to rectify personal problems that have been reported, and to me, seems to reduce his willingness to improve as a character and performer.
Also, to some who do not agree with my comments regarding Orton's in-ring work, watch some 80's matches involving Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard as two examples of performers who worked a low risk style that was still paced well and kept the interest of the crowd.
