I am jealous of all the winners big orders. Good job guys! Well deserved.

Placing that big order was nice. Money sure doesn't seem to go too far when buying supplements. I was really happy to see that bodybuilding.com had some of the MuscleTech products as buy1 get1 free, buy2 get 1 free, etc. I'm good-to-go for the next few months! Very thankful for that!

It's only going to die if we let it. I know some have done their whole "move on" thing. Not sure what that means. I don't think even half the stuff we talked about in here had to do directly with the contest Doing bigger and better things is great, but it doesn't need to leave good stuff behind either. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, what was that like? Did you get a phone call? E-mail, PM? Did you feel greatly surprised or just elated that you won?

Shows
Ok, so who can give me even more information on shows? How does the pre-judging work? Do you go through the pre-judging and then see if you get to the night time show? Or does everyone get to do the night time show? What is is like?
What are some of the "required" poses? How about advice on proper symmetry?
I have an anxiety disorder and the more information I can glean from the experienced people the more confident I can become. The more likely I can reach my goal. I have to know the information and mull it over. Properly prepare myself.
If you think it is too much to explain how about resources you can send me to? Someone who would be happy to answer questions, or articles, websites, etc.
Thanks to any and all who would like to answer.

You'll be checking in about an hour and a half before pre-judging (which is usually at 9AM). First thing you do is get weighed in/signed in. If you're rollin' solo, bring your MP3--there's more downtime then you realize and they'll go through all kinds of weight groups before getting to yours (including teen and masters). I got up at 4AM to start eating and applied the dream tan; make sure to bring extra and there should be some people backstage that can put another application on for you...you can never be too dark.
Wear dark, bagging clothing to the morning meeting, the tanning stuff can get messy. There should be plenty of weights backstage to pump up--the guys were pretty cool about taking turns. They will give you a heads up about 5 min before your weight group walks out, and they'll tell you what order you're in. I had the same problem with both shows: I got really cold--so I brought some heat pads that you stick in gloves and held them, and had some 'sock shoes' to walk around in. Some guys brought portable heaters. Everyone's nervous, just relax and have fun.
Mandatory poses were: the 'relaxed' poses 1st, then front lat spread, side chest, side tri, rear lat spread, rear double bi, most muscular, front double bi, abs. Then they might go back through the poses if it's really close, or they might call out some weird ones (like the double calf flex they pulled on me). Everyone does the night show, they feel you worked hard and should get to finish up the show (I've only done NGA shows tho'). Again they go through all the weight groups. You go out one at a time and your music will play for 60 seconds. The placings have already been decided; the night show is just for entertainment--as the crowd will be the biggest at this time (a lot don't show up for the morning mandatories), plus afterwards they announce the placings and it's trophy time (followed by pig out time). This is when you get to meet the judges and they'll give you pointers for next time.
Practice the hell out of mandatories; they are everything. Learn how to present what you've got; competing is like marketing yourself, selling to the judges...and some of it is creating illusion: a little guy can beat you if he's a better poser. Stage presence: in your mind, you are going to win (it will show). Symmetry....utmost important. I took 2nd because my legs overpower my physique, but it would be very hard for me to tone down my leg days to be more symmetrical, just depends how serious you are.
Hope that helps, 2pack!..haha. I might be doing another one in Jan after I've built up my upper body (the shoulder reconstruction didn't help). Later ace...

You 'turn around, stick it out..' you know how the song goes. No actually you turn your
back to the judges and lift up on the balls of your feet and flex your calves hard as
possible..
I actually practiced it because I saw it listed as a possible pose. It's funny to watch the
guys next to you stumble and lose their balance.
Good times, good times.

Yup, I can tell you recently just had a little one and not several. We have several. That is the front door, no matter how often you sweep and mop it makes little difference. Too many kids in and out.
Plus the only cleaning lady I would accept is YOU in your tighty whities! rofl.

lol. Thanks for sharing, bud. Only 3 boxes for 1000? I thought it would have been more boxes. I think you should have pulled the stuff out of the boxes and gave us the double calf flex

LMAO! Now wouldn't that just be sexy. You gonna do a little wiggle too?
If the thread stays open, I will post my pics along the way of my weight loss journey. My philosophy at the gym is go all out or go home. I like my gym time so I go all out So you will see me @ 12% and below. I will NOT surrender.
