LOL, I can see yall like to argue, and on top of that aint the smartest in the world. Too much of anything including sex and protein is bad. Also Drinking before a work out is also stupid, alcohol makes no one energetic, it reacts the same as a downer, now anyone that can work out after smoking weed, or drinking is a first. Now I aint come to fight on the internet, just giving my advice to the fellow from where I sit. Yall can keep giving that bad advice if you want, it will only make you look stupid in the end to this guy if he follows you and hurts himself.

Hell the only time I dont workout after I drink is if it is leg days. Simply because I normally throw up at least once on leg days anyhow.
|
See if this makes sense....That's why your 5'11 and only 175lbs. And if you throwing up after heavy weights, then you really need to re-think what your doing. Throwing up is a sure sign of weakness where I'm from.
Also, let me add, that I do drink in fact I drink a couple after every work out, it's the only way I can slow down. I didn't say drinking a couple was bad, I said drinking before a work out is a waist, you will not work out good, and anyone that says they do is a liar. Plain and simple and Science can back that up even on a bad day. Matter fact that's a cup of beer in my avatar.

These "facts" are on a completely generalized basis, each individual this differs.

I stick my guns and think that 2-3 beers on a sat night will do NOTHING to hinder your gains. I am proof of this....prove me wrong.
|
I agree with you in most of what you just said, a few brews here and there isn't going to effect gains on a noticeable basis, for almost everyone. Now if you're training for a show, and its the night before, may want to not hit the Budweiser...

Exactly, most of us here are not professional bodybuilders and individual goals vary extensively. Of course, there are the teens with the classic "I want to be shredded" threads that we see everyday however

I dont think anyone here is bashing your statement, and I for one agree that I would never drink before a workout, what would the point be? With that said everyone is different though and for most 1 beer isn't going to do much of anything from a negative standpoint.

Yea I missed the punch line, if your being sarcastic and making a joke, show a sign of it, that's why they have the funny faces down there at the bottom of the dialogue window, otherwise I take what you write as what you believe. The man is asking for advice about something obviously important enough to him to have even ask so either help him or don't, but don't try and debunk what I say unless what I am saying is BS. So it was not OBVIOUS to me about the sarcasm.
Everybody needs help every now and then. Help them or move out the way so that some one can help them. That's why when I'm in the Gym I don't even talk to the fake wannabe weight lifters or body builders cause they some funny Azz people with their sarcastic attitudes. Then when they see me and my brother lifting they wanna have conversation. My brother humors them, but I don't have nothing to say to them after I see how they act around the gym which I have seen some of that on this board in posts. I'm cool as long as you don't get me twisted. Naaa You relax.

You should be fine.. For what I know alcohol only effects your testosterone levels, and probably only if you are a heavy drinker. It shoul'd matter if you have a couple beers here and there.......Unless you are on a roid cycle or something.

Ditto that ****
If anyone is stupid enough to drink like a fish and train intensely they are fixing to go down hard eventually. Likewise anyone who claims that slamming a few beers before workouts is no big deal...you need to have your head examined. That's the dumbest **** Ive ever heard...
BUT, drinking a few brews on the weekends for the 100,000,000th time will NOT hinder your gains. END OF THREAD

I drink on average 2 drinks a night at least 3 or 4 times a week. may be two beers, two glasses of wine or maybe two vodkas and cranberry juice. Sometimes maybe more or less. Been doing so for 7 plus years. Its not that big of a deal. Is it helping my gains. No, but it aint stopping them either. Everything in moderation my friend
