One month down and 11lbs lighter and 3 inches skinnier around by waist. :-) A lot of work is to be done. Can't rest now!

Good news is that I am down to 233 lbs. from 257 lbs. at the start of this. Bad news is that as of this morning I became a statistic casualty of the recession, and am now unemployed due to lack of work. Here's to hoping that I don't let this derail me...

Down to 249lbs. Started at 263.5. I believe it's been 38 days. Once I got my diet really dialed in (after week 2), the weight has been coming off. My gut stayed the same, but my waist (where I wear my pants) went down another .25 inches. I can't wait for both numbers to be below 40. That will be an awesome day!!!!

I know everyone says this, but it's true - Keep your head up and try to have a positive outlook on this. I don't what your job was, but maybe this might be an opportunity for you to find something better, or to even start your own business.
Also, you'll definitely have more time to concentrate on working out and dieting! :-)

Back in the Saddle
Been away from this site, and I'm back to cutting.
I got down to 214 on my last cut, and I started this one in the low 280's so, rest assured, my last couple semesters of college were filled with plenty of beer and takeout food.
But now I'm back in the saddle, and I'm going to periodically post my results in here.
I'm eating 2,100-2,500 cals per day, usually around a 40/25/35, P/C/F split. Some might say this is too low, but I've lost over 80lbs in the past eating around this much, and its just what my body needs. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of cardio so I have to keep the intake lower.
As far as workout plan, I'm currently on the Notre Dame football upper body plan (it was made for a friend of a friend on the team with a lower-body injury) and I'm subbing in one of squat, dead, and clean each time I work out. I'm hoping that, on this plan, I'll be able to not just cut down to where I was before, but get my strength back.
Good luck everyone, I'll be reading.

Thanks, it's much appreciated... I was an Architectural Draftsman that specialized in casinos and resorts. Problem is there is zero work in my field right now. Nobody is building anything, therefor I have nothing to draw. Not to mention there is 1 job to every 1000 people looking right now. lol I'll figure something out. Hopefully...
Definitely gonna be working out a lot. Gotta keep my mind preoccupied. And the endorphins wont hurt either. lol

Weighed in this morning. Down another 1.5lbs to 247.5. Gut is down another .5 inches. Waist is down .25 inches. I'll never see anything over 250lbs again!
Since May 23, I've lost 16lbs and 4 inches off of my gut and waist. And it's usually around 5-6 weeks when you start really noticing changes in your body and I'm definitely noticing. These next 6 weeks are going to be GREAT!!!!

Current Weight is 232. I'm wearing size 34 pants again...haven't done that in a good 10 years! I started loading Creatine this week with no weight gains, yet...but I'm moving heavier weight and feeling more solid.
Below and above the waist I look great...gut has gone way down but looks more out of place on me than ever.
I've severely lowered my carbs...instead of snacking on kiwi or cherries, I'l have a no salt trail mix of cashews, pumpkin seeds, sunflower kernels, almonds and raisins. I watch my sodium intake, have no dairy aside from crumbled goat cheese on a salad once in a while and mix my whey with egg whites.
I do 2 15-minute walks and 1 30-minute walk at work. 90 minutes in the gym working 2 body parts a day, each bodypart twice a week.

1.8 lbs more gone
I weighed in this morning at 396.4. That is 1.8 lbs since the last week weigh in I posted. 21.4 lbs to my next goal. I need to tighten the diet a bit as my weight loss slowed to 1.8 instead of 2 to 2.5 I am shooting for. I am happy non the less because fat loss is fat loss. Off to my workout now.

Somehow I lost 4lbs this past week. Down to 243.5. 20lbs lost in 7 weeks. I have no idea how though. I pretty much took a week off because of work and I ate horribly over the weekend (stressful work project, gave in to some "comfort food").
I need to get back motivated and going to the gym in the mornings. Work has finally calmed down, so things should be back on track. I can't wait until I never see 240+ again.

AWESOME! Keep it up! I plan on joining you in the not-so-distant future! I'm getting into the 230's. 220's will be glorious! 210's will be a great day in history. 200's - I'm streaking to the quad.

Two months in the books. 22.5lbs lost. 5 inches gone off of my gut. 3 inches each off my waist and hips. Sitting at 241.5 this morning. A celebration will happen next week when I'm out of the 240's, which I will NEVER allow myself to see again. Why the hell did I ever allow myself to balloon up to 263.5?!?!?! I'm a dumbass.

August 16th is right around the corner. Boy I've been through some crap this go round. Lost the job, stress levels have been through the roof, etc.., etc.., etc.. Anyhow, I've stuck with it. Lately I have been running 5K's (3.1 miles). Tried running one this morning and doing the "fasted cardio" scenario so many think is such a good idea. I got to 1.5 miles and had to walk the rest of the way. I just didn't have the energy to go on. So, no more fasted cardio work for me.
Anyway, hope all is well with everyone, and that everyone is still going at it.

393 today
I've been away for a few weeks with no internet connection. I hit a platau, busted through it this last weekend. I am 31 lbs down and expect a few solid weeks to come. Workouts are consistant and getting better. I am back to work so staying on the diet will be even easier since no temptation unless I bring it, which I won't. I can't wait to see the 380's again.
