I hope you don't mind if I join in. I bulked through November, and then started a slow cut in December. So far I've dropped from 217 pounds to 195 pounds. I really haven't started with cardio yet, I've just been losing based on my diet alone. The last couple of weeks I haven't lost much weight. I'm not sure it's possibe to eat any less than I already am and still survive, so I'll need to mix some cardio in soon. I haven't tested my bodyfat lately, but I'm guessing it's around 12-13%. That stomach fat is stubborn! I'm hoping that I won't have to drop below 190, but it looks like I may need to.
As far as cheat meals, I usually take one cheat meal per week (and it's usually not that bad). I don't like cheat days - it seems like one real bad day can ruin an entire week of dieting. At this point, eating any kind of junk makes me feel like crap....

Updates anyone?
I'm still hovering around 10% or so. The dr's office that I got Lasik done at sent me a box of thank you cookies yesterday, so of course I had to eat them. The entire box.
I'll have 3-4 great days of cutting, followed by one day of pigging out like a madman.

I never saw this thread before now. I'm trying to look good by early summer, but more likely mid summer I'll be down to 12% Bf and look good enough for most chicks.
I started march 11 BTW. You can see my posts on the body blog. But Im too embarassed to post any pics until I look good enough. I started up again after a long lay off from workoing out and I looked like crap a month ago. I blook decent now and hope to look great in another 2 months.

Cuttings coming along well for me.
I switched from my keto diet to a basic high protein, medium carb, low fat diet.
The keto diet was good-but I personally was loosing to much muscle on it and not enough fat...plus it was priming my body for fat when I come off the keto diet--so I'm gradually coming off of it and switching up to a high protein/medium carb diet now.
I already feel better on my new diet-more strength in the gym e.t.c.
I do 20-30min cardio on lifting days and 30-45min cardio on non lifting days--so I got my cardio down.
I just need to be more stict with my diet.
I just want to get below 15% bodyfat so I can bulkup without having to worry to much about my bodyfat%.
When I get to 15% or below I'll see how I feel.

Droped 11 lbs in 2 weeks
I've managed to drop down 11 lbs in 2 weeks. I guess it becomes easy for me because of my fast metabolic rate.
But what does that really mean?
I've come to the conclusion, that when you have a fast metabolic rate, you have a higher abillity to reutilize faster the resources that you want to cut on your body, like fatness.
So, you see,
If you are the ectomorph type, then you probably have a fast metabolic rate, and that means that you can easily eat less,... much less, in order to cut down on your fat, since you can easily, and in time, feed on your own fatness. And may I remind you that fatness is your second resource for carbs, only much slower than direct ingestion, so to speak.
Therefore, that is why it is much difficult for meso and endomorphians to eat less and easily loose weight from that kind of diet.
But why would someone of the ectomorf type want to loose weight? you ask.
Well, in my case, I've tried to gain weight in the wrong way, not adding any significant amount of muscle mass, but instead one of Body Fat. When I started my diet, I was already with a ridiculous 22,5%BF. That was when I decided to make a change.
I am now with 19%, and droped 11lbs in 2 weeks. My plan is to dry up from fattnes, reaching down to something like 8-11% BF and start taking those long avoided suplements for MUSCLE GAIN. Talk to your local suplements expert and he'll recomend you to the best for your type of body and life.
I will soon start with recomended TWINLAB Mass Fuel, and ISS Research Super Vitamin Pack.
Wish you all good luck,
Coluto2007

Nice work
I'm down from 192 to 183, only 9 lbs, but I'm hovering just below 10bf% or so. It seems that this is the hardest part...the last 2-3 bf%. I'm trying to make it to about 6-7 bf%.
My wife's not helping at all, she came home with a huge bucket of KFC last night. I did good though, I only had 2 breast pieces, no mashed potatoes.
Love handles be damned.
updates ?

Hey I'd like to join on this as well!! I've been trying to cut for like the past couple months - with very little luck. I mean, I guess it has worked, but not ot the fullest extent. My problem is not that I don't eat healthy, it's that I don't do enough cardio.
From now on, I'm going to do at LEAST 20 minutes of cardio / day. I'll still eat healthy, I always stay away from the **** foods. I gotta buy some taste-good protein for post and pre workout. I always found that this protein tastes the best - http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/mrm/met.html - but is it good for cutting?
Hopefully I can loose the fat pouch over my lower abs before summer. I've never been able to get fully cut, but with your help, I hope to!!

Alright fellow cutters (no emo)...any of you going to join either of the two 3-month transformation contest?
I'll probably join one of them, havn't done a contest here yet, so it might be fun. I'm not really looking forward to asking my wife to take pics of me, I already get enough grief for spending so much time at the gym as it is....this will just be something else for her to bitch about.
Anyway, I'll edit this post with the links to the threads I'm referring to.
The cut's going good BTW, I think I've broken into single digit bf%, and if ever get motivated enough to do a better/more intense ab workout, they'll actually show a little better.

I was stuck at around 195 pounds for awhile, but I added 15 minutes of cardio after each lifting session, and threw in 3 low carb days on my off days, and I've lost 5 pounds in two weeks. The low carb diet seems to work well for me. A few years back I tried out the Adkins diet for a few weeks but I had to stop because I was losing weight too fast.
Anyways, I'm at 190 pounds right now. My arms are really looking good lately, but those d*mn love handles are putting up a fight!

lol those danm Love handles = VERY LAST place to lose from. Once mine are completely gone, I hope to be able to just keep them off. I do NOT want to go through this amount of cutting again.

Yep, and the VERY FIRST things to come back when you add any fat! I got rid of them in college, now I'm kicking myself for letting them come back. I'm with you, I'm cutting until they're gone, and then my bodyfat is never getting high again (because I'm never cutting this much again!).

I'm going to be a rebel and still bulk then cut to 9% bf at 190. I'll be a monster. My goal is to be 194 lb, 6% bf but I don't think that will happen until next summer. You might as well call me franco columbo

Down 17 pounds....had no clue I had so much to lose. I want to lose another 5 pounds of the giggly crap.
Looking and feeling pretty damn good, but the dieting is getting pretty hard to stay strict with.

Bump....I thought this thread would have been getting more hits than this. Everyone must have given up at this point huh???
My cut's still going strong, well ....except for the mother's day feast I had yesterday, but I did use it for my cheat meal of the week.
good luck to anyone still actually cutting for summer.

I've been doing HIIT and a bit of lifting every week for the past 2 months and have dropped from 14% BF to 10%. I think I'm done cutting because I don't really care to lose much more..hardest part is going to be eating clean until I get to the beach. Then, I am going to just get drunk as hell all week.

I decided to bulk back up again! lol
Very very clean bulk though--infact I think I have lost some weight and gained some strength.
My strength was very low and it was playing a toll on my connective tissue (in which I have problems with) so I started to eat more, and my strengths back and connective tissue issues are going away.
I plan on bulking until I'm satisfied with my strength gains.

I'm halfway through my 8 week cut right now. I've been on the rails with my 40/40/20 diet, currently at 2700 cals a day. Bodyfat is right around 9% using a 3 point caliper test. Attempting to get to 6% bf while staying above 150lbs and maintain that for summer.
First cut ever, just trying it so I feel confident bulking to 170 this winter.

Def good realization.
Same thing in my case.
My chests way small compared to other parts-and I've had lots of muscle loss due to prolotherapy injections in the shoudlers, a horrible week long flu, and about 3 colds in a 3 month period.
I lost mad amounts of strength and muscle.
I'm trying to gain my strength back and pack on some size.
