Well, I am on the verge of accomplishing one of my short term goals. I wanted to be below 200 Lbs. by the time I go on vacation next week. Since I am at 201 right now, I believe I can make it for sure. I only have to lose 2 Lbs. this week and that seems to be my norm anyway. I imagine I will be back above 200 when I come back but I will soon get it back off. I'm going to do my best to stay in a calorie deficit while on vacation. It'll be really hard to stay with keto but I am going to try. Wish me luck on dropping the last 2 Lbs. and staying as strict as possible next week.
I am happy to say that I feel confident enough to take my shirt off at the beach and the water park. It's going to be AWESOME!!!

I'll bet that you'll be in better shape than 95-98% of the rest of the 35+ year old dudes there.

Yeah, I am hoping so. That is another amazing thing about the weight loss and being healthy, I am getting a bunch more compliments about how young I look. I guess when you get rid of the double chin and reveal your lost jaw line, you start to look younger. Who knew?

I've actually experienced the opposite lol
Someone told me I looked older now that my face is leaning out and I have a more pronounced jawline.
Weird how that works.

I weighed again this morning, and it says I'm still at 263. I was very discouraged by this at first, and didn't take my weekly measurements. I didn't have a very good week. While my nutrutional needs stayed in check for the most part, I did have a cheat meal on Saturday at a family reunion which included a brat, a hamburger (both with buns), and some potato salad. This is a cheat for me because I've been on TKD for 6 weeks now, and carbs have been under 30g per day, so I'm thinking I might have stored back some water weight or something from the bread I ate. Plus, I was only able to get in 1.5 cardio sessions this week (1-15 min after lifting, and 1-30 min).
However, I thought it all through, and decided that instead of focusing on what I didn't accomplish, I was just going to use that as extra motivation to try even harder. My fat will not beat me! I've been lifting consistantly and seeing great gains each week. I just need to get my cardio in check, which is exactly what I'm going to do this week.

Awesome way to tackle the downer. I used to be the same way. I would be so depressed over the f-up that I would end up doing even more damage. Now, I just laugh it off and move on. So you lived it up for a day, so what. Get back on that horse and ride baby ride.

Great attitude.....it's good to see people with this mentallity. We can't always eat right 100% of the time. So you had a bad meal/day here or there....the more important part is that you didn't go back to eating that way for good. Nice job on staying focused!

Took saturday and sunday off and just pigged out. Felt so bloated and heavy and my weight went from 180 to 188 when I weighed myself last night. Who knew that could happen? It's all good because I weighed myself today I'm back down to 184 and I'll probably be back to around 180 by tommorow. But damn, 8 pound difference? That was just nuts....
I won't be messin' around for a while cuz damn, that didn't feel good. Oh well, it's Monday and its time to get back into thangggs

I've lost 10 lbs in the past two months
First off, congrats to everyone for all the progress that everyone has made. From cfh1973's peaked biceps to euclid's obvious increased muscle tone, its cool to see everyone making progress in his or her own way. Well done, peeps.
I'm hopping on here to say that I've reached the ten pounds lost mark since starting in June - so that's about 5 lbs a month. At this rate, I will be back to my goal weight in about 3 more months. Just give me time.
Freedevil: Hope you feel better, man. Don't push yourself too hard.

Had a great workout tonight, and the girlfriend even joined in! We did chest, shoulders, and tris on the p90x program.
It was also a great diet day, no issues at all.
Grats on the progress everyone, especially cfh (forgive me if I am wrong, but it was Chad right?) enjoy the waterpark with your shirt off. Before I went off the fitness wagon it was one of the greatest experiences to go to a waterpark with my shirt off and feel good about it. I can't wait to get back there. Have a good vacation.
Plyo's tomorrow, will be nuts!
This Wednesday instead of doing the normal weight and bf%. I'll also do measurements so I have some gauge to go off of. It wont be from the beginning but atleast it is a marking place
Take care everyone, have a great day tomorrow.

Ate about 1500 calories today. Got 140 g protein in. Nice shoulders day with 17 good sets. Ran about 3 miles. I might have another protein shake which would put me at 1630 with 166 g protein. That sounds good.

Good deal....none of that oink-oink flu thank god......lol
I had a great workout last night. I went up in weights on everything with the exception of Tris. My bench went up 20lbs in the past 2 weeks.....and that's doing 3x12 sets, which makes me sore in the am, but feels great. I also went back to doing 200 crunches a night. I do 100 crunches then another 100 oblique crunches. Maybe it's mental, but I think I can see the difference in my stomache every day. Nothing huge, but the outlines of my ribs are still there and my obliques really show more now.......maybe it's just me....
More Tae Kwon Do tonight which I'm pumped for. I get such a great cardio workout from this.....Diet is really starting to take form. Eating 40-50f, 200c, 300p consistantly for almost 3 weeks now. I'll be starting xtend in a couple of days as well to help with the healing process.
Keep up the great work everyone!

I ran for 30 minutes this morning and weighed in at 185.5 lbs. This will be a good day.
I had a kick in the ass last night in terms of motivation - I went out to Border's and bought Henry Rollins - Live at Luna Park and aside from being my favorite celebrity (can we call Rollins that?) he is damn funny and is full of intensity. One segment of his show dealt basically with living to your full potential, giving it 100% at all times. He said how you will have strong critics who try to derail you at every turn but to persevere and push through that BS.
Look - every single one of us posting in this thread has a goal that were working towards, whether its seeing abs for the first time, or just getting to a healthy weight and maintaining from there. We ALL have the ability to reach those goals, no matter how ****ed up our surroundings, schedules, jobs, home life, etc... 4 months ago I was pathetic and out of shape, a downer and I hated myself. I wouldn't take my shirt off in my own bed because I was so disgusted with how I looked. Today, as I sit here looking back on these past 4 months and looking ahead to the next 2-4 months I can be proud that I stuck with it through good and bad, through adversity and while passing up my critics. We are ALL changing our lives no matter how far we are from our goal and that alone is more than most of the population can bring themselves to do. You guys and gals are doing it, you've got the motivation and determination that they try to sell for 3 easy payments of $19.95 on t.v., but it is coming from within and that is a priceless thing. So do it.

Yep, you got it, it's Chad.
Hi everyone, I'm Chad.
You will get back there soon enough buddy. You are such a hard worker. I remember a couple years ago how much we motivated each other. I still use the calipers you mailed me, every week. Thanks so much again for that.
I WILL enjoy the vacation. When we planned it several months ago I told myself that I was going to be in the best shape I possible could with the time I had. I believe I am surpassing what I believed I could accomplish. I knew I wanted to get below 200 before next week but to be as fit looking as I am. I never believed it was possible. These short term goals kick ass and I plan to set another one after vacation. It keeps me so focused.

Trying to get this water out of my system today. I actually hit 231.3 last Thursday, but I don't count it as official unless its on Wednesday. I am at 233.9lbs this morning. Down from 237.7 Monday morning. So I know there is alot of water in my system right now. I just got to get it out.
It is amazing to see the progress that is being made in this thread.

I started a 7-day complete body cleansing program from GNC today and will update my results through the week.

So do it.

Drink, drink, drink and then drink some more water. The more water you drink the more you flush out. Keep workin' hard bro.
