What do you think about chiropractors?
I have recently been looking into different occupations that work in the health care field and have to admit that I am really impressed with the information that I have found chiropractors.
I was really wondering how your guys felt/experienced in relation to chiropractors. Thoughts? Comments?
Please share.

1rd.
They do a great job, I feel great after a spinal manipulation. The one I go to can determine whether I had a sinus infection w/out asking (strong lymphatic system knowledge) and he also helps with nutrition counseling. Feels good man.

They can be good for mitigating pain.
If you sprain your ankle are you going to go to a chiropractor or a doctor?
If you need a heart transplant, doctor or chiropractor?
Spinal surgery, ... again..
They're not really a medical profession, so much as a surrogate for pain-management.

Chiropractic is a growing field in Denmark. The laws there are not very pro-chiropractic, so I understand your point of view.
Thanks for the input.

I would challenge that based on the extent of what a chiropractor can do for preventive health as well as rehab. I went to a sports chiropractor after a rock climbing accident and he was able to help me rehab my ankle better than an ortho/physical therapist. I do agree that the general public only knows chiropractors as "pain-therapist." They do need to do a better job of educating the public.
Thanks for the input.

Dont trust a doctor who can write a prescription.
Yes ive gotten an adjustment, my gf goes once a week as she was in a bad car accident and she claims it helps, I could be the same whether I go or not, I guess it could be beneficial but then I dont really care much for it.

Could you site the city/state? I would like to look up the possible case. A lot of such cases that I have read so far were due to patient withholding medical history. Was this recent?

http://www.optimalhealthgc.com/
these are the guys i will be seeing for treatment planning next week. apparently i have compressed lower lumber region , no forward neck curvature, and when looking from the front my spine curves to the right.
at this stage i have no real idea what they will do. i am not in any discomfort. these were all incidental findings on the xrays. guy says after treatment i will have better core strength and improved concentration due to less impediments in my spine for neuronal transmission.
->which i took to mean stronger and smarter haha.
im sceptical but willing to give it a shot.
btw i also have a mate studying chiro in nz.
