Glad to hear of the heavy win, Big E! Yeah, tanning is always an ongoing learn and even dependent of the lighting at various events. Yeah, hard when pros are showing up. I recall an INBF athlete who won qualified but stayed in the amatuers. When I said to him, "Didn't you make pro?" he said, "I'm not going in there. I'll get lost in the shuffle". Of course your competition had pros from other organizations so it's a bit different. I would think you can recover from one binge but I'm sure you'll figure that out. I'm guessing it would be a good thing if you are looking to make heavy and they make you strip down for your next show weigh in (seems like they are too busy to do so in many shows these days).

Glad to hear the intervention was successful. Those sorts of things are never fun for any party involved... but always worth it, especially if the purpose is accomplished.
Not to say that you are, but the binge isn't something I would worry too much about. If anything, it's just a reminder to all of your followers here (myself included) that you are only human. If I didn't know better, I'd swear you were a machine based on your consistency and work ethic thus far. Everyone slips up, it happens to the best of us. What separates you is the fact that you have the heart to pick yourself up immediately after, and get back on track.
You looked nothing shy of incredible at that last show, the win was well deserved, to say the least. The tire flipping looks fun as hell too... the kidlike enthusiasm you and the other Cali guys approach your training with day in and day out is absolutely inspiring. Keep doing what you do best bro!

You may need to drop calories by 100 or so to account for the lost hair weight. 200 if the beard goes with it

WOW! Aaron that was an awesome compilation. I got VERY emotional reading it. Thank you so much. It makes the memories just that more palpable.
Eric my friend, we are all human, and take it from me, the over zealous refeed will not effect your chances if you do decide to travel to Washington. After missing out on my pro card at the cap city last year, I am embarrassed to tell about the 20 hour re-feed I had. I was not planning on doing the INBF Washington show, but once I did, I just got back on track, hit it hard, and I ended up leaner, or fuller take it how you want, in Washington. So don't sweat it!!
Put the head down and put one foot in front of the other. That lessons the chance of tripping.

I just got back from the gym....I've been on 100g of carbs for the last 3 days....getting rid of whatever damage I did and then some...not beating myself up at all...
I WILL get leaner by the washington show...just got back from my hiit
I did 16kg kettlebell swings for my 45secs, and big tire flips for my sprints....that was the first 4, then the last 8 I did jump rope for 45 secs and big tire flips....GOOD stuff
also Jeff Alberts, NGA Pro (won the Mr Natural Cali) and Lightweight Cap City Winner, and I have been talking and he got me on his website, GREAT guy, and he just decided he's doing the Washington show...looks like I'll have threats on both sides, big luke in the heavies and shredded Jeff in the lights....PUTTING IN WORK PEOPLE!!!!

Looks like there is no cookie cutter approach to getting this pro card E, The competition is just as steep as cap city, so the only thing you can do is put in your work and bring a better package, you know Jeff is going to be bringing his A game. Keep that mentality in full swing, and do the damn thing!

Eric, you are just relentless bro! I DIG IT!! When I make it to Cali, we are smashing weights most definitely. And if you ever come out for an Arnold.
Anyways, conditioning looked awesome and you looked great despite the lower body water retention. You did look more full than previous shows this season. You have some GREAT shots in there and I'm definitely pulling for you. I think you could bounce back and come in improved with your tenacity and work ethic.
I will keep your family in my prayers and keep it up!

Congratulations
Eric, I know it is abit late but congratulations on your HW class win. Saw your pic of you doing the side tricep shot and you looked amazing. Your detail and the giant hamstrings are one of the many reasons you took the class. I was not there unfortunately but I am so glad that you won. I was pulling for you. Your posing routine that is on video from the NGA show you did recently was very impressive, very lively and very entertainting. I am happy for you and I hope that the pro card will be yours this August. I know you can do it. I am proud of you and proud for you. Keep up the great work. Alberto was helpful I know, he is that kind of man and kudos to him for his guidence. Now go get them in washington, and show them what Carmicheal is all about!
__________________
There was a time (seems like along time ago) where posing was actually taken into a bodybuilders total score. As bodybuilding grew in popularity the number of contestants entering each show continued to grow. To keep the shows within managable time frames the emphasis on posing (for scoring) was slowly faded out. I myself am a competitive bodybuilder and I believe in the two-pronged approach: Bring the best physique I can bring that day and to display the physique in the best manner I can.
