Girl Friend wants to loose weight....need some advice...

Ok i need some advice on what kind of diet and excersise program to do for my girlfriend she wants to shred some body fat with out bulking up to much but at the same time gain some good lean muscle...I have been training on and off for about 8 years now and finally this year got serious kand kind of made her want to get serious to.

My workout consists of training each individual body part on a seprate day Monday-chest, tuesday-back, wednesday- off, thursday shoulders, friday bi's and tri's, and saturday is legs. And i alternate abs every other day.. would this be a good split for her as well?...also what is a good set and rep guide ( ie mine is 5 sets of each exersise and 5 different exersises)...also what would be a good nutrition plan to start her on....

Thanks in advance for the advice!!!!

If she's a beginner, a full body or upper lower split would probably be better for her to get a handle on than a 5 day split.

Nutrition-wise, she can eat the same as you, just less. BMR calculators are available online to get an estimate of her caloric needs.

If you still have questions after reading the above thread, come back and we can fill in any holes for you.

Good luck

If it works for you it will work for her. Just lower her calories to fit her metabolism and you're good to go.
