I used to go to those a lot.
Lots of fellowship and a good environment to get "in tune" with your spiritual side, at least if you give yourself the opportunity.

i just got back from one this weekend. i was on the comitee that put it on, so it wasn't quite as relaxing as others, but seeing getting to see a years worth of work pay off is rewarding

hey guys, just a quick shout out for posting this thread and keeping it active. Ive been quite on here the last few weeks, bustin' my ASS in the gym and diet etc., Im 2 mo. into major mid life fitness makeover at a very hardcore musclehead gym with a kick ass trainer (yes, they do exist....though few and far between) in SoCal; and the nightly wine - and lots of it since I used to lived in Napa Valley - was ruining my body, and life. Its been 8 months, with a few slips here and there, but since I've returned to bodybuilding and fitness, the desire has totally disappeared and been totally sober since. Strange how that happened, but glad it did. Hope to continue to contribute more.

Spiritual weekend was nothing short of "AWESOME". There was some great sobtiety there and the speakers were fantastic and inspirational. I got alot out of it and am so glad I went. Keep Comin Back...
