It looks like you got some decent gains, but I would say you should keep going. Don't take this personally, but your still pretty small and what you need to do is keep bulking not go to a cutting routine like p90x. Your welcome to do what you like, its just my opinion.

bulking for mixed martial arts is a bad idea. trust me i know. i need to get lean muscle, not bulk mass. rippetoes got me some good gains like i wanted but now i need to gain lean muscle not mass and bulk up. but i know everybody on here will disagree because its a bodybuilding website and ill leave it at that

p90x will help me a lot with stretching, lifting for lean mass, keeping bodyfat low, and cardio to keep me up for mma.

and i like being small. i dont wanna be huge

Do you see ufc fighters bulking up? Mass is good for fighting if you work on your speed, and your ability to move your own body. Look at the guys in ufc, some are massive, and still move with amazing agility. I think p90x is a bad idea. You can gain lean muscle mass from weights, and build incredible strength. Do what you want, but I suggest you start eating like an animal, lifting extremely heavy. Your definitely an an endo so you should have no problem with bf. I'm part endo, meso, and I mines stayed the same from a year. My 2 cents.

I'm not criticizing you dude, if that's what you want, then that's what you want. I am just saying that lifting for "lean muscle mass" has nothing to do with a fitness style routine except slow gains. Believe me, you are NOT going to accidentally get too big...

theyre massive because they arent ectos like me and they dont train by lifting weights for sets of 5 they train 10 reps

you can gain lean muscle from p90x and incredible strength because you have to be able to do dozens of pullups, pushups, dips, curls, etc. i will start eating more like when i was bulking on rippetoes (gained some good lbs from like 125-135) dont need to lift heavy to get strong.. id rather do 50 pullups than deadlift 250. whats gonna make you stronger? to me, pullups will for what i want.

You need to bulk. If you are an ecto you won't get much fat either. You can't afford to lose anymore fat with p90x. In fact it would probably have to eat away the fat in your eyes to reduce your 'fat' any further.

Don't really need these programs brah. Never really heard of p90x, assumed its for cutting from the website. Just clean bulk, eat lots and lift big and you'll be good.

I have no problems with P90x, in fact I'm glad there is a pretty good routine on TV these days opposed to the crap that is usually on. Its a good routine, but it has its place, and that place tends to be more of a cutting routine.

All I am trying to communicate to you is that a good routine (such as Ripptoes, props to you for starting it) will build a solid base for you. From there you can decide what you want to do whether it be focus more on a speed/MMA routine or keep getting bigger to move up in weight classes or whatever. But at this point as hard as it is to hear, you don't have that base yet, your doing great but need to continue if you want to achieve your goals.

We're trying to help you. If you don't want our advice then don't ask.

PS: the point of bulking is to gain lean mass

Talking

bet all you bulkers cant do that :P because you guys are too slow from your reps of 5![/QUOTE]

Aw cmon now brotha! (:

Hey check this out, my buddy trains at this really cool fight school called the pit here in california and boy lemme tell ya what, the kids a beast at fighting, studies this stuff 24/7

but anyways he lifts incredibly heavy but also does cardio in order to keep his speed up.

You should really get some mass on you and cardio it up a bit!

Do what you want, but I suggest you start eating like an animal, lifting extremely heavy. Your definitely an an endo so you should have no problem with bf. I'm part endo, meso, and I mines stayed the same from a year. My 2 cents.

Perfectly Stated.

Mass and speed.

Alright, since you know everything I'll leave you too it. Just a last thought. When I started lifting I could barely do a set of 20 pushups. I brought my bench up from 95lbs x6 to 225 lbs x 6. I tried doing a set of pushups, I get to 50 and I get bored. I couldn't even do diamond pushups, now I'm repping them out like nothing from narrow grip benching. Quite blankly, you will get your ass raped if you continue on in fighting at that size. You either gain muscle, lose it, or gain fat, and lose that. Theres no gaining lean muscle. Your gaining muscle period! The pace you do it at is what differentiates it. Like I said before, bulk, and cut to a low bf, you will be in a good weight class, you'll have good strength. Or you can remain a women and stay in the 135 class. I know I'm only 2 years older, but please don't insult my intelligence.

I'm surprised you didn't get flamed, a lot of these posters above me gave some legit advice.

Don't associate bulking with getting fat. Simply bump up your calories a little below your maintenance level so you can maximize muscle growth.

Hmmm so a proper bulk/cut will not result in mass then?

Get as fast as you want.. you'll get knock the **** out standing and be too weak to for ground

I was going to reply with something, but since he knows everything and obviously people who lift heavy weights blow up overnight and become Ronnie Coleman, I guess I'll leave him alone to be a skinny weakling his whole life.

If you ever feel like listening to people who know more than you rather than thinking you know it all, let us know.

how are the results for rippetoes anyhow?
It's called eating you dumbfuk, people have gained 20lbs of lean muscle mass on ripptoes.
Which is a STENGTH program.. not a lean muscle mass/mma program
