nah man I totally hear ya! Im looking forward to this shot since ill be in the corporate office and it sounds like ill be involved on a lot of projects. Im hoping if things go well maybe I can swing a full time position after I graduate next may...see if I can maybe lay the foundation this summer. And the nic ething is...its also paid! alot of the internships ive come across have been unpaid, and its just too tough to work a summer or semester and not get paid

Update
Ok so first off, the internship is going awesome! It has been super busy and a little chaotic but I am loving it so far. I am getting involved in a lot of big projects and actually getting to do stuff, which im really happy about + the pay is awesome!
Secondly, awesome workouts the last two days...some goals Im shooting for this summer
115+ on incline db press
115+ on db rows
hopefully if my hammy and groin stop acting up I can get back into legs and deadlifts...we'll see how the next few days ago....any other recommendations for groin stretches
hope everyone is doing well
ps. here is a progress pic

real solid man, i started doing those groin stretches on the regular, so I am going to see how it feels in another week. Do you think it would be wise to lift legs? or wait another week and see how the groin feels?
thanks budddyyyyyy

115+ on incline db press
115+ on db rows
Nice goals. The DB rows are doable now if you get some straps. That is what I do.

yeah man i definitely think i can make it happen...i can prob hit 115 on db rows in about 2-3 weeks.
Update
Went to the doc today, hammy feeling so much better. But the groin is still feeling tweaked, so I am going to continue to stretch and see what happens. I might use a heating pad also, hopefully it improves. If there is no improvement in a week-2 weeks then I will see an ortho
Two question:
- I want to start doing cleans...what would be the best day to do them?
Also, the groin doenst really bother me unless I make a sudden movement or a quick pivot...so do we think it would be ok to do cleans? I really would love to start them this upcoming week!
thoughts?

I think cleans are great after deadlifts. That is when I usually do them.

For me psychologically, after a heavy set of deads, the cleans don't feel as heavy, plus if you do a high rep set, it is a good mix up.
But I do PL style style so I'm not too sure when other people do them.

Since I am just starting them, I want to say I would prob start to implement them with a high rep set...then once I get into the form and stuff maybe move to some heavy sets

Ok so the doc recommends not exerting my legs too much since my groin is still bothering me. Funny thing is it only bothers me when i make a sudden movement/twist/pivot...not when i run or walk
Can anyone recommend any good forms of cardio that would be good and maybe not involve too much sudden movements? I dont want to just stop cardio all together but at the same time I dont want to do anything that could aggrevate it more.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Major Update
Hey everyone
First off - Happy fourth! Hope you are all enjoying the weekend
Ok so went to the doc yesterday- I have a strained groin. I have to do a course of therapy, so hopefully by the time I move back to school (august 14th) Ill be near to 100%
Been feeling some issues with my pec. I think I might have a pec minor strain. I have like a tight/cramp/charlie horse type feeling right where my pec and armpit meet. No pain, tingling, swelling or bruising. Again more like a tightness. Also in my trap on that same side.
Any ideas? suggestions? What is your take on lifting- go light on the push movements? pull movement totally fine?

Hmm Id say go light for a week or so and try and give it a lot of rest. If that doesnt help I know you dont want to hear this, but maybe you should take a full week off from lifting to see if you recover that way. Its hard to tell. How many days are you hitting the gym now? Are you doing that Push/Pull routine you had listed?

How's the groin and pec strain? You been able to get back to training on either one of those yet?

i started jogging again, which is great. I have an appointment with the Physical trainer on tuesday, so hopefully they will give the ok to do some lower body lifting.
pec strain is still bothering, the strain is coming from my trap/neck area...interestingly enough

yeah will be good to start getting the lower body worked in again.
weird on the pec/trap/neck area? can't think of that is or how to work around it - but the PT should hopefully be able to provide some direction on that too. Just minor setbacks, you'll be back smashing some heavy weights in no time.

I did chest and tris today...first time doing chest in a few. I went about 50%, not too bad overall, some slight discomfort in certain areas.
It feels kinda like a charlie horse type feeling in my pec minor area, slight straining from my trap....any thoughts?
do we think I should take off a week? or maybe see how things play out with some light lifting these next few days?

upper body is still holding some good size and definition.
not sure what to say about the chest/tri stuff. did it bother at all on tri's or just chest?
physio say anything about the pec strain?
I'd continue to lift whatever feels good. And if you're not sure on something, go light and see how you feel after a week or two.

thanks man...for having a rough past several weeks, not a total flop in terms of upper body...still somewhat decent
Physio couldnt say anything without a prescription, so Im going to see my regular doc hopefully sat get a prescription for the pec then hopefully the physio can take care of it when i go next week
tris it didnt bother me that much, chest not too much. I couldnt do skulls, cuz i felt too much of a stretch/strain in my pec, so did other movements. Its like a charlie horse type of feeling where my pec meets me arm put...then a strain comes from my trap with certain movements
