For me the answer is no, I love being gay and to me being gay is a lot more than who I am attracted to. It affects every aspect of who I am. And if I was suddenly straight it would change a lot more than just whose picture I look at.

That is a big breakthru for me, considering there was a time I would have done anything to be straight.

The only part I waver on is for the sake of my family, I have told them tho that if that really was possible it would change a lot of things that they love about me. And I believe they would say hey we want our dad back, this new straight dad is boooorring

Once upon a time, yes I would have. I certainly tried everything else. but now, after growing up a little, NEVER. I can't imagine where my life would be if I were straight. I doubt I would have ever started working out, and that decision changed my life almost as much as coming out did. So many great friends, and some good time with good partners, would be gone. (Yes, great sex, but simple things like a cup of coffee at the Starbucks across the street or going out for a lunch with a terribly cute Abercrombie boy -- yes he really modeled for A&F -- and just spending hours talking.

Most of the people in my pre-coming out life would love for me to still take "the blue pill" and get plugged back into the Matrix. But, the red pill is better in the end.

Oh Jeff Timmons . . . 98 degrees started on the national scene on my mission. I secretly bought their first two CD's as soon as I say him. And I will crank up Eminem right now and play it.

BTW - I have never seen a funnier site in my life than a bar FULL of shirtless drunk bears and cowboys in Denver standing around bellowing show tunes at the top of their lungs. :-) Broadway music generally is one area I just can't listen too. My homo music mostly is long dance mixes from DJ friends around the country and in Europe. (The resident DJ of main gay dance club in Denver is now a client of mine and he has intro'ed me to so many people, and I get free music.). And groups like Zero 7 when I am in the hot tub . . .

This was another one of those things I can't believe no one around me picked up on regarding my gayness. I mean come on now how many straight guys do you know bought all of the 98 degrees cd's and the dvd of their concerts. HAHa. Probably a great deal. Don't get me wrong. I like my "all gay all the time" radio but like all other radio stations they do replay their hits over and over again. I am seldom listen for longer than a 30 minutes because I don't drive much so the songs don't get played out for me.

Working security nicely done bro, I would take that as a big compliment since I'm about as intimidating as Barney Fife with a tattoo.

Just Imagine . . . a very large club, 3 full dance floors with a 4th outside in a converted set of warehouses, a whole city block, filled to the brim with hundreds and hundreds of 20 and 30-something gays with bodies to DIE for with almost all dressed in white. Of course, the white does not stay on for a long time above the waist, but . . . it is fun. And if you get bored, the leather bar is across the street ;-)

I do take it as a complement. All I really have to do is make sure that the guys are able to get up the their spots to dance and down again without getting too mob. And make sure that the "cash in the g's" stays within bounds. The straight one (yes there is one) really likes me because I have kept guys off of him before when he was new, and the lead dancer is a good friend here in FoCo. Then again, there is the one who manages a Bally's in Denver who has a SERIOUS quest for me to come home with him . . . on well, not when I am helping out.

About the pill question.

I think if anything should change that is the society we live in. It's just ridiculous that after 2 world wars, several schisms and religious revolutions, and things like the abolition of slavery and an advanced understanding of genetics and related implications, people are still raciest bigots. Take borat/bruno for example. I know that the people in the movie don't represent north americans in general, but just the fact that some people really do feel that way bothers me deep down. People should not have to change their nature to adapt to society, as long as the feelings and freedoms of others are respected.

Anyway, my point is, the question should be should society take a pill to change, and the answer imo is yes, FAST!
