Hockey...

Hi Guys,

What are some good workouts to improve my ice hockey skating/stability?

I also wanted to incorporate deadlifts to military press but I can't find anything the correct technique. Is it called something else?

Thanks

they're called power clean and presses

squats will help a lot. pro hockey players usually have gigantic lower bodies that somewhat dwarf their upper bodies

Thanks... do you have a link to technique on how to do the power clean and press? I'm pretty sure my deadlift technique isnt very good... I did it once and my lower back was sore for 3 days... Is that normal?

I do squats now, along with lots of body weight stuff (jumping lunges, back/forward lunges, squats, and a bunch of others)

I saw improvement in stability and power in my stride when I incorporated lunges. Lateral and forward lunges.. Also stability and core drills with swiss balls or stability pads helped too
