British ladies, which fitness mags do u buy?
I'm just wondering this cuz I notice we have an underwhelming number of good fitness mags here in the UK.
I used to buy Fitness RX but its just inflated with ads and no substance (not to mention expensive). Now I'm getting Oygen regularly- I don't mind paying a bit more to get good articles and advice.
Our own mags like Health & Fitness I find are just nonsense- They don't recognise the value of proper weight training & just go on about endless cardio.
Anyone managed to find Muscle & Fitness Hers in the UK? I'm under the impression we don't get it here.

I sub to Oxygen.
It was cheap enough to sign up.
Other than that I buy the guys mag, Flex and such because they are a damn site better than the ladies crap you get over here.

I don't know about the Hers version but Tesco usually has M&F. I tend to buy one based on the articles it has in it that issue rather than sticking to a particular mag, not to mention most of it you could probably look up online anyway (imo the website for Oxygen is usually more helpful than the contents of the mag) but it is nice to have something to flip through for motivation

I get Men's Health on subscription (from Tesco clubcard points!), it's a bit full of bull****, but because I want to be a fitness writer and photographer it's what I aspire to.
I sometimes buy Flex, sometimes Muscle & Fitness or whatever it is, sometimes Men's Fitness. It depends what they have on the cover usually. I don't buy any female specific mags.

I buy Oxygen from Borders, I've not seen M&F Hers there, I've been thinking about subscribing to both.

I don't buy any anymore other than the occasional issue of Flex (but not for the training advice). I used to buy Muscle & Fitness when I first started training which is what I 'learnt' from, if you like, but so far as training and diet articles go, it's essentially just the same things rotated around. I've never seen M&F Hers in the UK, and have never bothered with any other female fitness magazines because they all seem to be about running =/

thanks for those replies, Ive thought about having a browse thru some of the mens mags cuz often the womens mags are quite wishy-washy. Gonna check out selfridges to see what they've got, but I'm quite content with Oxygen for now.
