30lbs over contest weight and you've STILL got hamstring detail!?!?! Maybe there is something to this whole 'reverse dieting' phenomenon...

That and Arlean may be there!!
So you like the snatch grip deads eh? I really enjoyed them the last time I did em to. Impossible not you get the glute involved simply because you are lower and more 'over' the bar since the hands are out stretched. I like the rolling the bar towards you to get it moving on that one to! May have to give that a shot next time.
You up for flipping some tires come Sunday? Or you gonna be to busy prefecting your canonball pool side? HEHE

hmmm never knew shrugs could be dangerous...When you say "forward neck" what do you mean by that? Would the proper technique be to just maintain the natural postion of your head and neck while shrugging? I might have that bad habit you're talking about and not even know it

Think of a turtle.
And think of your statement: "say "Would the proper technique be to just maintain the natural position of your head and neck while shrugging?"
Really a good thing to keep a natural or even neutral position in any lift. Think about what the skeleton looks like in a neutral position. Not all slouched over, but good arch in the lumber and pretty much everything else nice and straight. Can't really go wrong with that.
I think both the Nickster and I have kinked our traps by sticking our necks out doing shrugs.

Looking good Berto. If I saw you in the gym there is no way I would guess 185, you look much bigger then that.

I am almost tempted to do six weeks, because that would be half an old school prep. That would probably put me down to 170 I think, from that point keep gaining until the end of the year. Maybe 190-95, but waaaaay better and stronger pound for pound than ever before.

LOL!
I think when pulling from the floor I might stick solely to snatch grip, and trap bar deads. Its just soooo much easier to get everything firing right. Can't wait to do them again on Thursday, yeah I am actually looking forward to pulling off the floor, have not been able to say that for a while.

Thanks for the link, bro. You back looks awesome! I consider my back to be my strongest. Well maybe my front is the weakest lol. But as far as shrugs. i used to do em back when i was trying out Yate's HIT but then stopped in favor for just heavy deadlifting. And they work wonders. My traps is on fire the now when I squeeze em.

I think if you are doing heavy deads regularly, minimal direct trap work is needed.

I didn't pig out like most people do post contest. I think for being 30 pounds over my stage weight all is pretty good.
This is a sport for the patient.

Six Week Mini Cut
Since I received like 1000 pms concerning it.
This will be sort of a pre-contest test run so to speak. I believe I can be ready in 12 weeks, and going halfway on a prep would be a good way to gauge what a prep should look like for me. I should look six weeks out by the end of this. Here is the method.
Training Split
Sun-Rest
Mon-Lower Power(Cardio)
Tue-Upper Power
Wednesday-HIIT
Thursday-Rest
Friday Lower Hyper
Saturday Upper Hyper(Cardio)
HIIT = 8 Intervals
MISS = 30 minutes
Nutrition
Mon-Sat
FAT 50
CHO 275
PRO 230
Sunday Re-feed
FAT 50
CHO 425
PRO 210
Should be a good old time.

Minicut plan looks pretty sweet. Do you happen to have a link to a good article about refeeds? I understand the basic idea with leptin levels and such, but I wanted to read something a little more in depth.
I've realized that I'm the same way with the lower back fatness. Makes lat spreads look like poo when you're not fat-free or even reduced fat. Looking big though and I think you could maintain a christmas tree at 12-15% with your back development. Kinda like big E and his abs.
