Tis reminds me of a friend I had who has past on.
He lived by the philosophy that if you hit on every woman you meet and only get lucky %5 of the time, you will still get more action than you know what to do with .
Maybe those girls were just playing the odds

just be confident and talk to them now. Ive been heavy and lean both but when I was single I just approached women and talked to them honestly, you would be surprised, confidence is king, looks help but just be comfortable with who you are and you'll line up with someone, its natural..

You are being too harsh. I'm puzzled as to why would you be offended?

I'm sitting here trying to think why I would be offended if a guy or woman (regardless of their looks) hit on me..unless I was with my wife, then I would be offended by the lack of respect shown towards her.
Other than that, for the life I me I cannot imagine being offended.

Take it as a compliment and move on.

I agree that the thoughts are too harsh. To some, being flirty is a defense mechanism, to others its enabling to reinforce their lack of self esteem. And to some, it's a numbers game, the more they ask, the more they'll score, even if not with you (or me). I like the flirts and come-on's even when I have absolutely no intention of it being any more than a smile and a possible friendship. Be well and breathe deep.

What really irritates and kinda offends me is when I see someone being nice and some ******* feels the need to degrade them. The offense and irritation don't last long though as I end up feeling sorry for the person once I begin to wonder how much it would suck to be that insecure and shallow.

Sure we all have different values and everyone comes in contact with others that don't meet our criteria of a mate or someone to date. I don't understand why anyone would belittle someone like that though because the other person doesn't meet their criteria. I wonder if these same people internally think everyone does the same thing and they're paralyzed by fear of being rejected the same way. Someone wouldn't have to think about that too long to install a social phobia into themselves because they treat people like an ******* now, would they?

There have been a few times that my ego has started to inflate and without fail, some humbling event comes along to put me back in line. I wonder if this happens to others or maybe they're just so focused on the illusion that the sun rises in the morning just to see them, that they don't even notice.

I remember a guy I worked with got in an argument with someone and they're going back and forth. All I can remember was this guy saying, "I may be fat but you're a ****ing idiot and I can diet!!" I guess you had to be there...

OP You came off as cocky and arrogant to most in your original post. They didn't read between the lines, nor did they hear or experience the "hitting up" in whatever bar or venue that you might have been in.
