Its at the Embassy Theater in downtown Ft. Wayne, very nice venue for bodybuilding. But it's pricy! Prejudging starts at 11am, costs $20. Night show cost $25.
I know Brad Warner and Austin Dossey are both doing the open, so it will be a great show just with them!

Buy some cheap containers and make about 3-days worth of meals at a time, or 3-4 days worth of whatever you eat.

Right on!!! After getting back from the grocery I find it really helpful to cut every thing up like fruits and veggies, and try and put portions into different containers just like toobigfred said. I figure the time it takes me to shop and plan out my next couple days worth of meals is about how long it would take to go out to eat, and probably overindulge in things I shouldn't be eating. I also find it helpful to pack a cooler in the morning or the night before with some healthy snacks while I'm at work. Preparation and Moderation are two things that I'm constantly working on!

Protein wont make him bigger. But he would probably need to do some kind of weight training for the metabolism boost, if he is a runner and chubby, then he needs to clean his diet too. I am fat, I am not fat cuz I eat right, y'know.

i have know him for about 2 years and as long as i have known him he has worked out every morning and lifting too. but he hurt his elbow and now is just running. i think if he cleans his diet up with as much as he was doing that he should drop weight the way he wants. thanks.

He cant lift, he can only run .. which is okay.
First and foremost - he needs to get rid of his "eat what he wants, when he wants" habit. Fix your diet! 90% of any physical progress comes from what you do outside of the gym, not in it. I can lift weights like Jay Cutler, but if I eat like an idiot .. I will never ever look in any good shape.
If he doesnt have a trainer or a nutritionist - he needs to find one that will give him a meal plan that is designed for him that he has to follow. It takes commitment and balls - but it is the only way to start for him. Eat like 4 meals - separated by about 3 hours a piece, eating your protein, complex carbs, fiber and keep it clean - no junk food etc etc.
One thing as well - he might have injured his elbow - but at some point to get better results he is going to have to get into the weight routine. Just cardio can never fix everything unless you have the genetic build for it - which is rare.

Yeah ... McDonalds anything = death! lol
If he cant find a good nutritionist/trainer or cant afford one (they arent very cheap) - just tell him to let you know what he eats on a daily basis ... when and what - like an average day.
Could probably throw some ideas his ways through this forum ... if the nutritionist thing does not work...
he is so going to hate going on a diet .... poor man .. lol.

yeah this poor guy makes way too much money. he can afford a trainer. i dont feel sorry for him. lol im working 70-90 hours a week and he is flying back home to texas twice a month to go play at the lake and stuff mcdonalds down his throat. lol. i told him already that if he wants to lose fat he has to get serious about it and stop eating crap. i cant be too hard on him though because i still want to work here. i am pushing the healthy eating though. i think its getting through too. i saw him eating raw veggies and some meat for lunch.

Two notes:
1. He needs to give me some of his monies!! So I can roll like he does haha.
2. Nice to hear that your eat clean message is getting through. The hardest part is sticking with it ... so on days when we all feel like the taco bell might be a good idea ... try and refrain from it.
Let him know he can have one cheat meal a week ... whatever the hell he wants to eat on that one meal .. everything else has to be clean. Works out

I'm gonna have to agree with fred and ace. Heres what I'd like to add, you can not force this kind of lifestyle on anyone, but let them see you living it and it will rub off. Good Luck.
