the difference between my mile and half time?

Ok I'm leaving for the Marine Corps on Sunday, and I have to take an Intial Strength Test in order to ship. The run time is for a mile and half and the mininmun is 13:30, my question is way is my run time slower when I run on a track. I ran a mile and half in 8:45 give a take a few secs each time on the road i measured it out and its a 1.6 miles. but on a track it takes me 10:25 give or take a few each time. I'm just curoius of why its like this or if anyone else has the same problem?

You might want to re-measure your road.

8:45 and 10:25 are very different times -- if the difference was less than 30sec or something, it might've just been related to what you ate, the surface material, etc. In this case, it looks like calculation error somewhere along the line.
