****ing Up on Vacation and How Do you Handle it?
So I was getting my bbing game real tight in order to peak in peak shape for south beach florida. Getting here is like a combination of Venice Beach, and Hollywood, CA ( both ghetto, overpriced and limited access to ****). I brough 4lbs protein n my animal paks just to keep the momentum. A few days of binge drinking here n there (which is touch cause 2am u look out side and its like vegas, people just having a blast. There are no pull up bars or parks around to bust a sesh. Now I'm just ****in depressed cause I had higher expectations of Miami AND I feel like my boby is being treated to ****. And cause I'm in a bad mood I don' t feel like ****in' with femals. I'm either just bitching my ass off, or there are some things I can do differently. ANy?

basically. no gym, I mean If i really wanted to do I could do dips n pushups n crunches, but its this whole lifestyle over here that I can't adapt to which is causing the problems. ****ty hotel, all nightlife consists of booze, access to decent food. Do you have a car or can you borrow one or take the bus? Miami is a huge city, I don't buy that there are "no" gyms or supermarkets around.

thus is true. If i had a car or even scooter rental or have taken the bus, **** would be different, but where would I go, bars? Plus since I'm not enjoying the trip thus far I don' twant to take out another couple hundreds to make some **** happen the last day.

Haha i feel for you bro. It already takes alot of dedication and confidence to start working out and put the muscle on as it is, and now your in a city where your being tested even harder. Man I dont think I could do it. Luckily I live in Mich. and there is absolutely nothing to do on the east side of it but lift and go to school haha

S--t, I've been where you're at and if it's a choice of having a bit of fun (as another poster said) or stressing over the fact that you can't get to a gym, go for the former. If you really can't find some weights, just do a lot of calisthenics first thing in the a.m.: sit-ups, push-ups, crunches, lunges, high-rep bodyweight squats, close-grip pushups, and I'm sure you could find a place somewhere to do chins. Is it perfect? No, not, but better than nothing. Even though it's party time, no one's saying you have to get s--tfaced drunk every day (only if you want to) so do the calisthenics, party hard, have fun, then get back to reality. A few days away from the gym ain't gonna make you look like Pee Wee Herman.

I sympathize with the OP. When I take a vacation, I also miss working out and going to the gym. After a few days of doing nothing but eating and drinking, you start to feel like a fat lazy piece of sh*t. I recently went to visit family, and I did pullups and chinups on the monkey bars at a nearby park and did pushups, and ran on my sister's treadmill a couple times just to get some exercise.

I think this post is proof that BB'ing is controlling your life. Your on vacation and your worried about a measly 3 days break. If you've been working out for a few months, your body could probaley use a weeks rest.

agreed. I have noticed bbing becomes more obsessive at times. and when im out of my comfort zone (like now) it gets worse.

agreed. and the walgreens and liquor stores charge a **** load and the place is pretty shady in general. prostitution and all that. I did find some pull up n dip bars and hit a nice back, tri, chest, ab workout so now I'm just toughing it out till i get home.
I definitely learned my lesson here, and I guess that's what it took.

Like everyone else said man, have fun. It only a week or so. Think of it this way, most deloads last a week, and so many lifters dont even lift at all while deloading. What happens after that? Usually they hit a PR next time they step in the gym. So, you better have fun, and quite likely you will be better off for it.
